Love the Series, Not This Episode
RoboGarrett19 May 2020
This episode isn't terrible but it is one of the weakest in the series. There's a few good gags as each character tells a story in their own imaginations, but that's all this episode really is, a series of disconnected jokes. Still worth watching and the series as a whole is great.

Great episode!

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode because it involves the imagination of all the characters and it is different from the normal episodes. We have Randy imagining himself as a superhero saving the day, Joy imagining herself as a 'face of Princess Diana and a body of a porn star' animated character teaching a lesson to her kids about studying and taking a bath, Darnell imagining himself as a soul R & B singer singing a tribute to the crabs he cooked, which is surprisingly good! (Joy, Earl, Randy and Catalina sings in Darnell's imagination as well!), Catalina imagining herself as a star in a Spanish telenovela 'Catalina' which have Earl, Randy, Joy and Darnell plays different characters and finally Earl in his ideal situation.

This episode is truly the best episode in the whole series.

Amazingly creative and funny

This is a great episode. I can watch it over and over again. The script writers take creativity and imagination to the next level. They must have gotten together and said let's do something completely different. Each character writes a story that is carried out in different formats. Darnelle's rap song is brilliant. I particularly love Joy's story, completely unhinged madness. Though I do find her hard to understand sometimes. Look out for what's written on God's mug. The essence of the characters comes out so cleverly in their stories. This should be essential watching for creative writing classes.
