Loved it but...

Warning: Spoilers
Something is off and it left me confused. I really enjoy the crossovers and the timeslot change works great...but it's like Sully had a total personality transplant. Yes he was a jerk at the beginning but then he softened as he got to know Hererra, and after the kiss it looked like an issue with his leg. Now it appears to be about their careers and he's morphed into a selfish?? The only issue I had this episode is that the writing feels chunky and disjointed compared to season 2's finale, which I just rewatched.

Horrible season transition

I was so confused the second this episode started. I had to go back to season 2 just to make sure I didn't miss anything! But I didn't - they took stuff from greys anatomy that hadn't been seen in this show ans started from there. Super confusing!!!

Terrible
melcauble4 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Tell Victoria to stop talking about her "hot doctor". It's so demeaning. Men can't get away with that behavior, women shouldn't either. And then, even at the end, when people have died Jackson says Victoria is "hot". Really? That's what they're thinking about? Unbelievable. And what about Helm? Stop saying everyone is going to die. I get that we say things while we're in shock but, come on, this is tv. Make it a little more tolerable. Her character is so irritating as it is. Please don't make it worse. Maybe her character will actually die and then we won't have to listen to her going on and on and insipid issues and bowing down at Meredith Grey's feet. I can only hope. The flashbacks are a terrible vehicle for this episode. So unnecessary and distracting. Does it really count as a flashback when it happened two seconds ago? Why didn't those firefighters who were trying to push the truck (also dumb) physically run over to the tow truck to stop it? They just all looked at it like,"hey, that truck should stop but I'm just going to stand here and watch it". All of this terrible can be blamed on Shonda. She has no perspective on the realities of life. It's only about sex and the dramatic for her. No respect for a real-life disaster or the real feelings that accompany it.Terrible

Not the Best Start
MovieTVRomanceFan27 February 2020
The first part to the crossover as well as the third season premiere of Station 19 wasn't that good. It wasn't the best start to the crossover. I thought it wasn't as exciting as what it could have been or what they made it out to be in the promos. I thought there were certain areas it lacked. Although we got to see several Grey's Anatomy characters, I felt there were some that didn't get enough screentime as they should have, but it was still somewhat good. However, I did enjoy watching the flashbacks back and forth from a few weeks before the start of the season which resolved a few things from the events of the season 2 finale last year. Dean and Nikki broke up, Vic introduced Jackson to the crew and Travis successfully managed to get the charges dropped after he was arrested. Andy and Sullivan's relationship remains tense despite the two declaring their feelings, but he strictly states they can't be together cause of career opportunities. I did not see that coming. I thought he was simply trying to keep his leg injury a secret I didn't think there was more behind it. Also I feel bad that Andy and her dad have hit a rough patch.

I have to say though I felt this season's atmosphere has changed. It's not the same as it used to be and I think we can expect a lot of changes to come throughout the rest of the season. Despite the changes though, I am still looking forward to seeing how everything will play out for all the characters and their relationships.

What a Shame
doug2go24 January 2020
Hard to know where to start - as a "Crossover" it was the worst I have ever tried to watch - the connection between Station 19 episode and Grey's Anatomy was so weak as to be almost imperceptible. I consistently gave Station 19 an 8 last year but this was probably one of the worst stand alone episodes I have watched - the flipping back and forth between a baby party , romances and a car crash into a bar was more than annoying combined with an almost stifling melodramatic atmosphere through out. In Short this show was less than entertaining and I only gave it a 5 in hopes it gets better and they cut out the effort to crossover - it basiclly destroyed an other wise entertaining Station 19 - ABC is not Dick Wolf .

Weak season premiere.

I don't know if it's because it was a crossover with Grey's Anatomy. But I cringed all episode long, I almost skipped it. Also, if they wanted to make the female characters annoying, they've succeeded with high flying colors. Not one didn't make you feel like you could hear, nails on a blackboard, every time they were onscreen « sharing their feelings ». Whether they yelled or confessed something, it was painful to endure. Travis risking the woman's life like that, was unbelievable. Really, this is the kind of episode showing how Station 19, is the weakest rescue people drama on TV these days. And it's a pity, because I sort of enjoyed it at first...
