Charming Film
paul-nicholls-111 March 2008
The whole premise behind the film is a charming love story. Yeah, yeah, I know, you've heard this before.

QUESTION: How do you tell a comedic love story and make an interesting difference for the viewer? ANSWER: Throw in two very quirky lead characters, surround them with strong character performances, and give them strong, funny dialogue. Add to the mix a twisting storyline and a few surprises.

Alberto Diamante's direction is deft and clever, the cinematography is strong and clear. The actors are first-rate.

Cheers to all the people in the cast and crew! Sit back and enjoy "Love...and Other Reasons to Panic"

Great work, great effort

It seems to me that the naysayer has not even seen the film and probably only saw the trailer. In any case, I'm very proud of this film and of everyone who worked on it. We have received lavish praise on the quality of the actors, particularly the leads Liam Card and Ana Candia. Ana is currently working on her Master's Degree and is temporarily "out of commission" with regard to her thespian pursuits. Liam, on the other hand, has worked on many feature films and television shows, which is proof of his talent and bright future in the business.

I cannot comment on the writing or directing, since I'd be singing my own praises. However, I am humbled by the talent of all the people who helped create this film. We are currently in the process of seeking distribution. Keep coming back and you'll find out more about it.

Cheers, Alberto

What a great title!

What a great title! And a great film to boot. Full of clever lines from start to finish. The leads do an excellent job of portraying the quirky and endearing Alex and Sarah and are well complimented by a strong supporting cast. The glimpses into Alex's imagination provided by the dating game and inquisition add humour and depth. The story slips smoothly and effectively between the present and Alex's memories. Non-linear storytelling can be quite a challenge and this film does a great job. Overall, a feel good film experience! I am looking forward to seeing more great work from this up and coming producing team! What "other reasons" could you possibly need to go out and see this film??!

great film.....well written and directed

The movie was thoroughly enjoyable............!!! The witty banter between the characters was great and laugh out loud at times. The two leads were able to convey the depth and bread of their unique, strange and oddly familiar personalities which enhanced the plot."..... Also great, is the camera direction throughout the film, totally in sync with the plot and characters to capture their strange and unique "ways".... Really great job.........! I had a good time and good chuckle watching this film..... Excellent overall production, Ï can see this appealing to a very wide audience. A funny sequel could be explored, lots of "reasons" for these two to find themselves in more predicaments as they travel down the road of life!!

Great fun!

This film is a wonderful example of what a dedicated group of film-makers can do with very little funding! The design elements are simple yet effective. The performances are very real and honest. The writing is especially good, check out the Sex Therapist's Office, it's very funny. Interwoven story lines blurring fact and fiction, keep the audience on it's toes! There are a few very topical issues that arise within the film, including the political unrest currently confronting Pakistan. Very forward thinking for such a small film! Liam Card (Alex) has the stuff, he's really a very natural performer. Love the Step-Father (Mike Lummis) and Young Sarah (Julia Todaro), both performances are fantastic! The film has a nice flow, keeps moving, never feels static. Typically small budget films are boring at times but Love…And Other Reasons to Panic has lots going on. A few Panics but mostly Love. Hats off to all involved.
