Love... and Other Reasons to Panic (2007)
Great fun!
This film is a wonderful example of what a dedicated group of film-makers can do with very little funding! The design elements are simple yet effective. The performances are very real and honest. The writing is especially good, check out the Sex Therapist's Office, it's very funny. Interwoven story lines blurring fact and fiction, keep the audience on it's toes! There are a few very topical issues that arise within the film, including the political unrest currently confronting Pakistan. Very forward thinking for such a small film! Liam Card (Alex) has the stuff, he's really a very natural performer. Love the Step-Father (Mike Lummis) and Young Sarah (Julia Todaro), both performances are fantastic! The film has a nice flow, keeps moving, never feels static. Typically small budget films are boring at times but Love
And Other Reasons to Panic has lots going on. A few Panics but mostly Love. Hats off to all involved.
