The Young and The Restless sees tensions are escalating between Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and his ex-wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). The two are caught in a bitter dispute over their son, Harrison Locke Abbott (Redding Munsell), with a potential future nanny, Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin), in the mix. Kyle’s budding interest in Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) daughter, Claire, could add fuel to the fire.
The Newman family’s history of deceit and revenge on the CBS soap opera
plays a significant role in driving the narrative forward. Summer’s mistrust of Claire, who was raised by a family with a history of violence and betrayal, seems justified. Nonetheless, most of the Abbott family, including Victoria Newman and Kyle’s son Harrison, are willing to give Claire the benefit of the doubt.
Harrison’s custody on Yr is another contentious issue, as Summer has no legal rights over him.

Universal Pictures appears to be wasting precisely zero time in getting the "Jurassic World" franchise back up and running again. Even though we only recently learned that original "Jurassic Park" writer David Koepp has been working on a script for a new installment in the franchise, we've now learned that the studio has set a 2025 release date for the film. What's more, they're zeroing in on a big-name director to tackle the project in the form of David Leitch ("John Wick." "Deadpool 2").
According to Deadline, Leitch is in early talks to occupy the director's chair of the upcoming "Jurassic" film, which does not have a title yet but would be the seventh entry in the series overall. Leitch previously worked for Universal on the "Fast & Furious" spin-off "Hobbs & Shaw," which was a big success taking in $760 million at the global box office back in 2019. “The Crown” series finale premiere in London on Tuesday evening brought out the cast and creatives behind the hit Netflix show as well as a smattering of other familiar faces keen to catch a sneak peek of the last-ever episode.
Imelda Staunton, who plays the last iteration of Queen Elizabeth II in the fifth and sixth seasons of the series, led the red carpet. Despite the chaos around her — from reporters clamoring to ask questions to photographers shouting her name — the star told Variety her focus had always been on the character.
“I don’t look at maelstrom,” she said. “It doesn’t interest me. I just look at the script, look at the part, go to work.”
Newcomer Meg Bellamy, who joined the series as a college-age Kate Middleton for Season 6, was more emotional about getting the part, which also happened to be her first ever professional acting job.

“The Bear” served up a sizzling Season 2 in June, following the chaos of transforming the sandwich shop into a classy restaurant with some special guest stars and cameos adding their own special flavor along the way. Many of the surprise actors and actresses added context to Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) past, whether it be his friend pastry chef Luca (Will Poulter) or multiple family members like his mother Donna (Jamie Lee Curtis), brother Mike (Jon Bernthal), Uncle Lee (Bob Odenkirk) or Cousin Michelle (Sarah Paulson).
We also see Carmy take a stab at love this season with Molly Gordon’s Claire. Richie’s ex-wife Tiffany shines a lovely light on the stubborn but deep-down-caring brother to Carmy, and John Mulaney brings out a certain side of the Bertazzo family as Michelle’s husband Stevie. “The Bear” had a few guest stars in Season 1 — Molly Ringwald as leader of the...

The “Vampire Diaries” alum spoke with People at the premiere for her new Peacock series, “Based on a True Story”.
“After my miscarriage, I spent hours on the internet just looking for someone to tell me what I was feeling was normal and for someone to tell me that it wasn’t my fault,” said Holt, who is pregnant with her third child.
“I would Google, and I would find these message boards or blog posts of these women who are open and vulnerable. And then I realized, okay, this is not something I did. There have been several questions over the years about the British royal family’s protocols and who is supposed to do what and if any of them acceptable to break. Well what Prince William did with his eldest child, Prince George, more than once was something Queen Elizabeth II never wanted him to go against. And according to a royal author, William drew the ire of his grandmother and received some harsh words from the late queen over his decision.

Spencer MacPherson as Xavier in ‘School Spirits’ season 1 episode 6 (Photo Credit: Ed Araquel / Paramount+)
Although Paramount+’s School Spirits episode five ended with Maddie and Simon discovering a secret way out of the basement, episode six begins with a heated discussion about jocks. Simon (Kristian Flores) can’t believe Maddie (Peyton List) said yes to going to the homecoming dance with Wally. If Maddie was still alive, she wouldn’t be caught dead on a date with a football player.
Maddie, understandably, wants to steer the conversation back to her murder.
All this is going on as Claire (Rainbow Wedell) and her minions are gossiping about Xavier over lunch. Her girls don’t know that she and Xavier were hooking up, and Claire seems to be paving the way for a public display of affection by responding to his text. She shocks Xavier (Spencer Macpherson) by agreeing to go with him to homecoming.

Critically acclaimed comedy Louie will take an extended hiatus. The fourth season isn't expected until Spring 2014. Louie Ck, who performs many jobs on the series, says he needs extra time to maintain the series' quality.
Fox has ordered a pilot starring Rachael Harris and The Office's Angela Kinsey. The show would have the two play women who have been best friends for 16 years and end up going through a divorce at about the same time.
At long last, the end is near for The Secret Life of Actors Who Aren't Given Time to Rehearse the American Teenager.
that's got to be promising.

It’s that time of year… network shows are going off the air (some for good) and the cable summer season is about to premiere. We decided to take a look at all of the season finales that have aired thus far and here are more of our staff picks for the best and the worst for the 2011-2012 season. Here are picks made by BuzzFocus Associate Editor-Community Manager Ernie Estrella:
(Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen these season finales!)
Best: Don’t Trust The B—- in Apartment 23
Wanna know why this show worked and 2 Broke Girls didn’t? We had rudeness from Chloe (Krystin Ritter) and the corruption and naïveté of June (Dreama Walker) is plenty fun, but the supporting characters prove to be something more than what they are on the surface. James Van Der Beek destroys playing a caricature of himself and as Chloe’s catty Bff,...

NBC and Fox have both unleashed their Fall 2011-2012 TV schedule, now ABC has released theirs. I’m excited to see Castle, Modern Family, and The Middle back in the mix. Most of the new shows they have line-up don’t really interest me, but there are a few that have caught my eye. PanAm is another 1960’s based TV show that will go against AMC’s Mad Men and NBC’s The Playboy Club. There’s a show called Revenge that sounds really interesting, but the new series I’m most excited about is is the fantasy series Once Upon A Time, a show where fairy tales collide with the modern day.
Here is ABC’s full schedule along with a description of all of their shows. Go through them below and let us know what TV series you’re most excited about seeing.

There are only two more episodes of Modern Family this season, so we should treasure the time we have left. It shouldn't be too difficult, because these episodes look hilarious. First up is this Wednesday's episode "See You Next Fall." Here' the synopsis:
The whole family is gathering at Jay's before heading out to Alex's graduation ceremony from middle school, but while at the house, Jay is preoccupied hiding a botox mishap from everyone, Cameron is upset about Mitchell's habit of laughing at his expense, and Phil tries to sympathize with, yet also antagonize Claire on her impending breakdown over the kids growing up too fast. All of this, plus a faulty gate, could mean their missing Alex's big moment.
The show is always best when the families interact, so this should be a good one. (Pics - ABC/Eric McCandless).
Next week's Season Finale "The One That Got Away" looks to be a classic.

After spending untold amounts of cash on hundreds of dramas and comedies — most of which will never make it to your living rooms — the five broadcast networks will begin announcing in New York next week which projects are good enough to earn a coveted fall pickup. (NBC and Fox will present their fall schedule to advertisers on Monday, followed by ABC on Tuesday, CBS on Wednesday and the CW on Thursday).
Buzz is already strong for several projects (for more on the hot ones, click here). But every year, we always wonder what diamond-in-the-rough was left on the cutting room...

And they’re off! Casting is all but completed and production has already begun on scores of pilots for the five broadcast networks. But not every comedy and drama will go the distance. Which project has the right stuff? What pilot already has you feeling like you popped a Lunesta? Check out the mammoth slate for fall consideration. (And remember, all projects are whittled down in late April/early May before the nets present their fall slates to advertisers in New York):

Today the nominations for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was released. The King’s Speech and The Fighter received the most nominations, with four each. Thankfully the Guild seems to know what they are doing unlike The Golden Globes who pretty much screwed up all the nominations.
The nominees here are usually a very strong indication of how the acting award nominees will play out at the Oscars. King’s Speech has long been an Oscar favourite, but David O. Russell’s The Fighter has gained considerable steam in the past few weeks. Last year, 19 out of 20 SAG nominees went to the Oscars as well so you can be sure that The Fighter and King’s Speech will get a best picture nomination. The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on January 20th. See the complete list below.

David O. Russell's "The Fighter" and Tom Hooper's "The King's Speech" dominated the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations. Both films receive 4 nods each with "The Fighter" receiving nominations for Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Melissa Leo in the supporting categories. But, the film's lead star, Mark Wahlberg, was not nominated.
For "The King's Speech," Colin Firth was nominated for male lead, while Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter received noms for their supporting roles.
Ernest Borgnine will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Screen Acors Guild has released their award nominations for their upcoming 17th annual award ceremony, which will take place on January 30, 2011.
There are some great nominations here. My favorite picks include Christian Bale for his role in The Fighter, Natalie Portman in her role in Black Swan, and Jesse Eisenberg for his role in The Social Network. As much as I love most of these films, I'm surprised that Inception is no where to be seen. That was one of the best films of the year and it seems to be escaping a lot of the nominations in all the award ceremonies this year.
Check out the list of Film and TV nominations below and tell us what your favorite are!

Okay, totally kidding about the Colfer Lifetime Achievement Award thing - that will be going to Ernest Borgnine. But does it seem to you that the kid who plays Kurt Hummel is getting an awful lot of awards season love? (And wouldn't McHale's Navy have been so much better with him in it?)
The latest outpouring of Colfer acclaim comes from the Screen Actors Guild who announced their 17th annual SAG nominees this morning.
The Glee cast is up for a comedy ensemble award, but Colfer was the only cast member other than Jane Lynch to be recognized individually. And given who he's up against he's almost certain to be the frontrunner!
Another bit of good news for a Glbt favorite, The Kids Are All Right, scored individual acting nods for Annete Bening, Mark Rufallo, and also a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast.

The complete list of nominations for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards follows below. The ceremony will be held on January 30th, 2011.
Nothing really to highlight here, unfortunately. SAG voters apparently didn’t care for Halle Berry’s performance as much as the Golden Globes did, because she’s not on this list. And neither is Idris Elba, who was also nominated for a Golden Globe. The cast of For Colored Girls got no love either.
The significance here is that SAG nominees and winners are voted on by members of the union – essentially, their peers.
But one thing that should be obvious by now is that the Oscar race is going to come down to 4 films and the performances in those films: The Social Network, Black Swan, The King’s Speech, and The Fighter. I still have to see the last 2.

The final season of "Lost" has come under some controversy for the introduction of the flash-sideways narrative device. Whereas previous seasons have flashed backwards and forwards in time, this season switches between the main Island plot and a sideways universe where Oceanic Flight 815 never crashed and landed safely in Los Angeles.
Although the sideways world has proven divisive amongst fans, there's no arguing that it's prompted some serious spinoff potential for when "Lost" ends. After the jump, check out five sideways stories we would love to see continued in their own spinoff television shows!

But Ford has a dark secret from his past — a secret that he's obsessively trying to resolve, and a resolution...

Warning - You're about to be exposed to spoilers for upcoming episodes of Desperate Housewives and Modern Family.
The April 18 episode of Desperate Housewives, "We All Deserve to Die", has bad guy John Barrowman invading the cul-de-sac, and Gabrielle possibly making Bob and Lee an offer they may want to refuse:
Determined to derail son Preston's marriage to Irina, Lynette discovers the truth about her future daughter-in-law. Gaby offers to help out neighbors Bob and Lee in the most generous way, but does not consider the consequences; Bree begins to questionSam's motives; Susan gets creative to help Mike with his finances; and unbeknownst to Angie, Danny meets Patrick for the first time.
Hmm ... it sounds like Gabby is going to volunteer to be a surrogate for Bob and Lee, which means we may actually get more from the guys than an occasional bitchy quip. And John Barrowman is hot no...

Hallmark Channel is looking to "Rock the House," greenlighting an original movie toplined by "Heroes" star Jack Coleman.
Just as in "Heroes," in which Coleman's character is involved in a complicated father-daughter relationship with Claire (Hayden Panettiere), "Rock," which co-stars Cassi Thomson ("Big Love"), centers on a strained father-daughter relationship.
Coleman stars as Dave Peterson, a career-driven attorney who barely spends time with his teenage daughter, Karen (Thomson).
But when Dave opens up his 25th high school reunion invitation to see photos of himself, he begins reconnecting with old friends, including members of his high school band, the Groaners, and starts spending more time with Karen while putting his career on hold.
"Rock" has begun production for a premiere next year. Larry Levinson is executive producing with Lincoln Lageson; Erik Helberg is producing. Ernie Barbarash directs from a script by Joe Woolf.

On "Lost," death is about as common as the cold. It drifts in and out just like a sickness, sometimes with warning but often without any signs at all, and almost always claiming its victims with ruthless efficiency. Whether the dead party is a beloved or loathed character, one thing remains true throughout — the death scenes of "Lost" are almost always epic and inventive.
After the jump, we've listed 23 dead characters who should return for the final season of "Lost."
Stay tuned to MTV next week for the final installments of Lost In Numbers, a series of features pegged directly to the show's trademark number sequence: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Needless to say, spoilers for season five and earlier lie ahead. And make sure to tune in to MTV Movies Blog next Tuesday for our live blog of the season premiere!

A panel devoted to the new spooky flick Dark House, starring Jeffrey Combs, will take place at the next West Coast edition of Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors convention, to be held April 17-19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa). Appearing at the preview (slotted for Sunday) will be writer/director Darin Scott (Tales From The Hood) and his cast, including Combs, Rest Stop’s Diane Salinger, Boogeyman 2’s Matt Cohen, Megan Ory, One Tree Hill’s Bevin Prince, Dollhouse’s Erin Cummings and Reeker’s Scott Whyte.

The project, from Sony Pictures Television, centers on newly separated Claire (Bertinelli), who is raising two teens -- insecure, quick-witted Daniel (Schmidt) and cute, status-conscious Kelsey (Juliette Goglia) -- while running a lumber business.
Dajani plays Lisa, Claire's next-door neighbor and best friend who works as a magazine photojournalist. Collins plays Hunter, Daniel's mischievous, girl-crazy best friend.
Anjelah Johnson also was previously cast in the project.
Dajani ("Emily's Reasons Why Not") is repped by Innovative Artists.
Schmidt ("Cheaper by the Dozen") and Collins ("The War at Home") are repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group.
Schmidt is managed by Protege Entertainment and Collins by Howard Entertainment.
