Warning: Spoilers
I didn't know that games this old would be on IMDb so when I saw this I felt compelled to write something because this game's one of my all time favorites.

The game has a good story with in-depth dialogue and a compelling plot. A man wakes up in a mysterious area of jungle on an unknown planet after a few tasks and meeting a few friends he discovers his name is Conrad and that he was on the cusp of discovering a huge alien cover up, so you spend the next part of the game doing missions earning money taking a trip to earth going to the alien planet and fighting a variety of enemy's such as mutants, cops, robots and aliens.

The physics of this game have always looked good when you run Conrad's jacket blows in the wind, jumps/hang drops & climb ups look really realistic for a 2D game. The fun really begins when you get the transporter you can throw it form one spot and appear where it lands.

The game is flawed in many ways the main one being trap areas, good examples of this would be small robots that roam across the floor and shock you some times they get you into an area where there is no way you can get back out without dieing or loosing half your life the problem is you have to have the equivalent of four feet between you and the robot before you can kill it But if anyone knows of a perfect game let me know.

Excellent Game!

Its a total classic, excellent music, original game play, it lacks music for a REASON. Ur walking along and the right music comes up at the right time, it wouldn't work if its constant music, its an adventure game, not really a platformer. One of the main things i love is the fact that when u get hit you go flying on Ur back, which is something that i haven't seen in a game before. also the short anime sequences when u pick up items etc look great.

Don't expect a Mario game out of this, expect an original game with some amazing features that even today doesn't have (story, realism etc) One of my fave games of all time! 10/10

Warning: Spoilers
I've played this game for a few hours now and while I tend to give a game a chance before I blatantly rip its insides outside of itself... Flashback, for a so-called classic, brought my anger to a boiling summit that I've never felt with any other game in the past.

I based my rating on these criterias:

Graphics: The game looks good, I'm not gonna lie. It's pretty stunning for an SNES game dating back to 1992.

Gameplay: Raw. Carnage. Disgusting. I wouldn't play that game twice unless someone paid me or wanted me to get them out of a stuck situation.

Sound: The game sounds okay but a lot of the noises in the game are just reminders of how ANNOYING it can be.

Music: Err... non-existent to say the least. It plays in key situations and is nothing memorable. You'll find yourself lowering the volume more often than not.

Story: Conrad escapes from some place and has lost his memory. He must now find his memory back and people are out to kill him. That's the creative story everyone was talking about? Gee, I'm stunned. Give this game an Oscar. It would have been more fun if it had been a point 'N click adventure game, in my opinion.

Puzzles: No, just no. Mixing platform elements with puzzle elements makes the game laborious, not fun. *Conveniently placed mines and traps to make you die. *Instant-kill GREEN DEATHS right outside the screen. Remember to bring your script with you, kids. *All of these with enemies in the middle that make you fall down. *All of these PLUS timed sequences, whereas if you make the slightest mistake, YOU DIE. *PLUS Conrad's crippled, retarded agility.
