Spendidly funny and entertaining episode
DVD_Connoisseur7 February 2007
"Bounty" starts with an explosive introduction and keeps the momentum going 'til the end credits. One of the more light-hearted episodes, the tale has more than its fair share of memorable moments. Claudia Black's ability to deliver kooky comedy cannot be overstated. Vala's truly cringe-worthy comments to Cam's parents are jaw-dropping but highly amusing. Ben Browder also delivers an excellent performance when he meets his high-school dream girl at the reunion party. The two stars steal the show in this above-average episode.

Hot blooded sci-fi femme fatale fans will note that beautiful Jody Thompson plays a bounty hunter to die for. In fact, if Ms Thompson wanted to arrest me, it would be fair to say I wouldn't put up too much resistance. Delightful.

Providing a welcome change of pace at this point in the 10th season, I enjoyed "Bounty" a lot!

Bounty an episode of Stargate SG1 season 10
r-buijsen28 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Bounty is one of the best episodes of Stargate SG1 season 10. Claudia Black is very funny when she meets cam parents and makes them believe there is something going on. She always puts a smile and a lot of fun in an episode by the way she looks at things. Ben Browder and Anne Marie DeLuise make a great couple as Cameron Mitchell and Amy Vandenberg. I also thought that the seen where Daniel is chased by a female bounty hunter was very funny, cause she gets hit by a bus.

But the stars from this episode are obviously Ben Browder and Claudia Black.

So I liked this episode a lot.

Bounty Hunters
claudio_carvalho2 March 2022
The SG-1 is attacking the shipments of the Lucian Alliance and Netan puts a reward on their heads to attract bounty hunters from all the galaxy to hunt them down. Sam is in a conference with Dr. Bill Lee and is attacked while giving a lecture about the Chimera holographic technology, but she succeeds to stop the killer with the support of Dr. Lee. Daniel is researching in a library and a female bounty hunter tries first to seduce him. He suspects and she hunts him down but an unforeseen incident saves him. Teal'c is off-world with the Jaffa when he is attacked and wounded by a killer. But he plots a plan to capture his aggressor. Meanwhile, Mitchell is in Kansas attending a high school reunion with Vala that has convinced him to bring her. He meets his old flame Amy Vandenberg, who is divorced, and their passion rekindle. But the cruel bounty hunter Odai Ventrell interrupts his encounter and jeopardizes Vala and his old mates.

"Bounty" is one of the best last episodes of "Stargate SG-1". All the storylines are great but Mitchell and Vala are responsible for the funniest part of the show. Amy Vandenberg is the wife of the director Peter DeLuise. My vote is eight.

Fun concept for an episode, love seeing the team interact in abnormal situations. Vala outside the stargate command is just a good time. Well developed storyline that had a few unexpected moments.

Huh?

Warning: Spoilers
This may have been a decent episode at a different point. What happened to the Ori. This series just lacks in story telling. I mean the world is ending (possibility still?) and off we go to a reunion. And how many times are the main team taken hostage? I feel sorry for the actors they do their best with really crappy plots

Um, The Ori Are Still Invading
fcabanski13 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Netan "This isn't about Casa, it's about them trying...to make...me look weak." Too late. You've looked weak from the first time we saw you.

When you're SG-1 writers who just showed a galactic invasion picking up steam, you write an episode about addictive corn dealers hiring bounty hunters to kill SG-1. When you're SG-1 facing a galactic invasion picking up steam, you travel around the galaxy destroying shipments of addictive corn or its seeds. When you're the leader of SG-1 facing a galactic invasion picking up steam, you head off to a HS reunion.

It's more of SG-1 trying to be Star Wars, this time with the bad smuggler (who isn't a smuggler) acting like Jabba the Hutt. The non smuggler - corn seller - hires bounty hunters to kill the members of SG-1.

Daniel's bounty hunter is a big nosed, homely girl who wears too much makeup. She thinks she's really hot. She tries to shoot him with an energy weapon that can't even shoot through a book. Then she chases him, running, while wearing high heels and a tight skirt. She ends up hit by a bus as she stands in the middle of the street about to shoot Daniel.

Sam and Dr. Lee are at a science conference pretending the technology they're showing off doesn't work. Dr. Lee is the big time ladies' man of the conference. Sam's bounty hunter is a guy with big black irises. He shoots a hologram of Sam. Then she uses the plasma gun Dr. Lee gimmicked to not work, first adjusting something so it works, to shoot the bounty hunter. The scientists gathered to see her presentation think it's part of the presentation.

Teal'c's bounty hunter is a guy posing as a Jaffa. He attacks Teal'c and another Jaffa. Teal'c pretends he's near death. The bounty hunter comes to finish off Teal'c. Teal'c zats him.

The brilliance of the Mitchell/Vala portion of the episode is that you start out not caring at all about Mitchell's HS days or parents or home town. Somehow the writers make it so you care even less than that by the end. Mitchell gets two bounty hunters. One is a lame alien who takes the form of one of the reunion attendees. The other is a cool human who takes the suit from one of the reunion attendees in a fairly Terminator-ish take the clothes scene: "give me your clothes". Cool bounty hunter takes out lame bounty hunter. Sam, Daniel and Teal'c trick cool bounty hunter with holographs. They capture him, then release him to take over the Lucien Alliance after killing Netan.

Hey, guys, the Ori just sent more ships into the galaxy. Maybe that's more important than addictive corn. At least weak Netan is gone.
