Serving up Laughs
JordanThomasHall2 July 2019
Hungry, Bud and Lou go visit Mr. Bacciagalupe who has opened a new restaurant down the street. He prepares to serve them his signature spaghetti abalone, but Lou freaks out at the sight of meatballs in a comical scene. Lou tries to phone the Fields Employment Agency for a job, but can't get past the operator (Joan Shawlee) in the hilarious "Payphone Sketch (Alexander 4444)". Still hungry, Bud and Lou go to another restaurant that's just opened down the street. With only a quarter, Bud cautions Lou not to order anything and they'll share his in their classic "Turkey Sandwich and a Cup of Coffee" routine. They become confused when they're unaware they have twin waitresses (also Joan Shawlee) who each like the other man. They try a third restaurant where Lou battles a live oyster in his stew in the "Oyster Stew" sketch (from their "Here Comes the Coeds" film and seen even earlier in The Three Stooges' "Dutiful But Dumb").

This episode is a solid laugh fest from beginning to end.
