The first episode of Weird Al's kid's show is watchable but nothing special; only the "Water is Wet" song is hilarious

Today's lesson: "Don't follow people who can get you into trouble. Think for yourself."

Weird Al is desperate to become part of a cool club and lets Spike, its chief member, talk him into all sorts of crazy stuff. Al tears off one of his pant legs, dips his arms into a vat of melted chocolate and shaves off his right eyebrow. Bobby the Inquisitive Boy comes to Al for help with his skinned knee, but Spike deems the brat not cool enough and Al reluctantly sends him away. Spike thinks even less of the Hooded Avenger: crime fighters are lame. Meanwhile, Al demonstrates his X-ray spray; makes a sandwich with hickory-flavored asphalt and anchovy Jell-O on whole wheat bread; shows off his super-buoyant edible ping-pong balls; reads from his mailbag; reveals that his brother is a cheap camera trick; and lets Harvey the Wonder Hamster perform an amazing stunt.

What's on Al TV? A goody two-shoes children's show host who sings about wet water; a commercial for Pirate Day Care; and another commercial for Pizza Quick. Al shows a black and white educational film about safety. But it's Al who gets the real education. Finally, the Barenaked Ladies come over to perform a song.

The first episode of Weird Al's Saturday morning kid's show is watchable enough, but nothing special. Only the "Water is Wet" song is hilarious.
