Chinatown memories

An old girlfriend of Jesse's asks for his help when her present boyfriend steals a sacred statue called The Ivory Emperor from a Chinese gang called The Tong, which places his secret identity as Street Hawk in jeopardy.

Stolen statue, the Tong gang, China town and old flame of Jesse asking for help as he boy friend is in danger - sounds a recipe of an enjoyably entry, especially because I like the Chinese setting, hence some Kung fu fun, but this is a rather pedestrian episode. Watchable due to The usual action, Jesse and Norman interaction and Rex Smith's likeable persona , but the story and plot is a bit flat and ordinarily executed. The romantic entanglements between Jesse and his flame is well done and emotional, which is supplemented by the song "What about us."

This story gets personal about Jesse. He meets a lost love from his past. Lile is English, grew up in China and now lives in America. She left Jesse when he joined the police force.

Now she has returned and reignited lost passion but she needs help as her current beau, Joe has stolen a priceless mystical Chinese statue and the Chinese mob in LA want it back.

Lile's life is in danger, lucky for her Street Hawk comes to the rescue. Jesse is tempted to give everything up for her, but will Lille leave Joe even though she has cheated on him?

Another bland episode with ineptly staged action sequences and plot points going nowhere. There is no chemistry between Lille and Joe, even though they are a couple. It is the sign of the times when this was made as they do not even kiss as Joe is Chinese.
