Crossing the Line
claudio_carvalho25 March 2016
The SG-1 goes to Tollan expecting to negotiate weapon technology to defend Earth from the Goa'uld; however High Chancellor Travel refuses the proposal. The upset Colonel O'Neill decides to steal the defense device that disables weapons. When General Hammond learns about his unethical procedure, he offers Martial Court or early retirement to Jack. He prefers the retirement and soon Jack is approached by Maybourne that invites him to command a rogue team that steals alien technology. O'Neill reaches the rock bottom and accepts the invitation. Soon he meets his team in another planet and they travel to steal an Asgard device. What has happened with Jack?

"Shades of Grey" is a different episode of Stargate SG-1. The nasty Maybourne is really an unethical character. Jack convinces not only Maybourne, but also the viewers with a great performance. The conclusion is funny when he tries to explain Daniel his attitude. My vote is eight.

Fun episode
fig-7527511 July 2020
This is an episode that has Jack O'Neill deciding that he has had enough with the approach the SG-1 has taken when dealing with aliens and their technology. So, he does something completley out-of-character that will get him court martialed.

It is fairly obvious that "something is going on", and that there must be a good reason for Jack's unusual behaviour. Nevertheless, Shades of Grey is an enjoyable episode and one that ties up some loose ends too. 8/10.

You got me

What a way to wrap up a storyline that has just been sitting there unattended too, and I definitely got bamboozled. Decent acting and well developed storyline.

Quite Good; Missing 1 Thing

Warning: Spoilers
As I wrote in the title, it is a good episode except one would expect financial gain for the extreme risks they are taking. It is quite a large plot hole. It her than this, very good.

Not convincing

It's not convincing, that Jack would behave in that way. This episode should have been a two parter and shouldn't have tried to convince the viewers that Jack wouldhave changed sides. It is all to fast and.
