The Evil God of Chaos, Fathers and Sons
claudio_carvalho21 November 2015
General Jacob Carter comes to the SGC following the request of Selmak to seek out the evil god of chaos Seth that has vanished centuries ago in Egypt. Selmak also wants him to resolve his relationship with his estranged son Mark. Daniel tracks him down to the present days and discovers that he might be the leader of a cult in Seattle. When Jacob and the SG-1 arrive at the spot, they meet Jason Levison, who is the father of the follower Tommy and confirms their thoughts about Seth. Soon the ATF interferes with their investigation but the president of the USA assigns the SG-1 and Jacob in the command of the operation. Now the SG-1 and Jacon needs to plan how avoid casualties in their action and how to face the drug nish'ta that Seth uses to control his worshipers.

"Seth" is a full of action episode of "Stargate SG-1", with a good story. The dramatic side is the relationship of fathers Jacob and Jason with their sons Mark and Tommy. Sam shows how powerful she is defeating Seth. My vote is eight.

This episode was anticlimactic. The plot was both set (pun not intended) and resolved very quickly. There are neither major consequences nor any progress on the story line.

Decent episode in terms of acting and effects. Though the storyline is a bit too perfect and easily resolved. It's a bit unbelievable that this guy would just be hanging around with a few people in white robes when he's supposed to be some god, hiding or not.

This is one of my least favorable episodes. To begin with, the Tokra have been "taking a system lord census". I laughed pretty hard at that line. I forget which writer penned this, but Thats a new low. There are a couple of memorable characters as well. Not so great.
