The War Begins
claudio_carvalho24 December 2018
Teal'c and Bra'tac are leading the Jaffa rebellion aboard a mothership planning simultaneous attack to the Goa´uld having Dr. Daniel Jackson and Lt. Col. Samantha Carter as observers. However the plan goes wrong and they are attacked by Replicators. Daniel is abducted and they return to the SGC. Meanwhile Jacob meets Jack O´Neill and shows that the Replicators are defeating the Goa´uld. Sam teams up with Thor expecting to fix the disruptor weapon while her replicator probes Daniel´s mind seeking a secret that may destroy the Replicators. Teal'c and Bra'tac plot to attack the Temple of Dakara, the symbol that Goa´uld are gods that constrains the Jaffa. If they succeed, the Jaffa will rebel again realizing that the Goa´uld are false gods. What is the secret to defeat the Replicators?

"Reckoning: Part 1" is the beginning of a war among Replicators, Goa´uld and Jaffa. The plot has twists that will be probably resolved on the sequel. My vote is eight.

Making moves
Calicodreamin7 April 2022
A lot going on in this episode as all parties making moves to take over, defend, or get probed. A star studded episode to speak, all relevant characters are present. An interesting shift in series dynamics.

Crisis, Character, and World Building
ComradWinston1 January 2021
Where one of the multi-part episodes from the last season failed to add anything but a new enemy toy to the mix, this one does great world building and utilizes characters to their greater potential. The Tok'ra come back into the picture, the Jaffa rebellion plays a preeminent role, and enemies are forced to work together. Reckoning manages to bring complexity, grand-scale conflict, and good old action together in an excellent climactic example of what Stargate has to offer.

Carterminator T-1000
XweAponX15 February 2023
This lil dual episode shows the Evil Cartereplicator's agenda, we had hints of this, now it's full bore starting right in the teaser.

It all happens on a planet named Dakara, a holy Jaffa planet especially for rebel Jaffa.

This was an episode for Dr Weir to talk to Jack O'Neill about Kitchen Sinks- everybody who's involved in SG-1 has a part here, including every piece of Goauld, Tauri and Asgard tech. Every periphery side plot hinted at during Season 8 is gathered up, right here, right now. Some of those plots end violently, other new, worse things are brought into focus.

We all knew it was coming, and the repliterminators have to be dealt with on a scale much larger than ever before.

But it also comes down to Real Carter vs Termireplicator Carter.

Which one is smarter?

And we simply can't drop Carterminator into a vat of molten Trinium. Or freeze her with Liquid H2.

This first part simply sets up the arena for this showdown.

And Ba-al is brought into the spotlight here as well.

Unlikely alliances.

SG-1 At Its Best
fcabanski24 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
SG-1 doesn't get better than this.

The episode starts with a terrible actress, who sounds and looks like she's reading her lines for the first time, threatening the systm lords. Then two Jul warriors bring in a captured Carter. But it's RepliCarter. She kills Yu, and then presumably she kills the Kul warriors and the remainder of the system lords off screen.

The episode is a set up for the next episode. Everyone is on their way to Dakara for various reasons, but everyone's reasons revolve around a super weapon that can destroy all life in the galaxy.

  • Anubis wants to destroy all life in the galaxy. - Ba'al, serving Anubis, wants to stop Anubis from destroying all life in the galaxy. - SGC and friends want to stop the Replicators and Anubis. - RepliCarter wants to destroy the only weapon that can kill her.

RepliCarter, supposedly a villain, utters a statement that makes her instantly likable. When speaking about Oma Desala, RepliCarter says "Why do you have such reverence for her? Those ridiculous sayings are just nonsense."

Unfortunately, she wants to destroy all life in the galaxy in favor of Replicators. So someone has to stop her.

Warning: Spoilers
Why on Earth would the replicator Carter show the location of a device to Daniel which can destroy her? Wait; it won't! It destroys all organic life! Who cares? The plots get dumb and dumber. Switch to Stargate Atlantis.
