Another Great but Flawed Episode
claudio_carvalho16 May 2017
When the snoopy TV reporter Julia Donovan approaches to Sam with inside information about a top-secret project in Nevada, the government decides to authorize a tour to Donovan and her crew provided they sign a non-disclosure agreement. In return, the Air Force would receive all the classified material from the journalist. Carter and Quinn host the group and they go to a secret underground facility where the spaceship X-303 is being built. But soon her crew, who is composed of rogue NID agents, hijacks the spacecraft and activate its reactor. Then they demand the deliver of Col. Frank Simmons and the Goa'uld Adrian Conrad to them in a short period; otherwise they would blow up the spacecraft (and consequently the whole State of Nevada). Meanwhile Carter manages to escape from the hijackers and hides in a store. When she contacts O 'Neill, they plot a bold plan to recover the X-303. Will it work?

"Prometheus" is another great episode of "Stargate SG-1" despite the flaws. Who would give ammunition to a nosy reporter and crew the way it was given. The funniest moment is when O'Neill tries to convince the others that Enterprise would be a great name to the X-303. Fortunatelly the rogue Frank Simmons seems to have gone away. My vote is nine.

What security?

Warning: Spoilers
I just could not get over 2-3 inept guards is all they had to secure this Prometheus project. If this is how national security is, I can't believe the Gould haven't taken over. Actually, I can't believe MONKEYS haven't taken over. The rest of the episode was great, but I just couldn't get past the fact that Prometheus was taken over and hijacked so easy. It ruined the episode for me.

At all cost

Warning: Spoilers
This episode feels off to me because it seems like the SG team is willing to give up anything to save Jonas at Carter when our literal planet is at stake, I wouldn't have expected them to give up so easily.
