Invasion of the Body Snatchers
claudio_carvalho24 April 2017
Sam receives a mysterious phone call from the scientist Dr. Richard Fleming in the middle of the night telling that Adrian Conrad's project is still operative; then she hears a car crash and the call ends. On the next morning, the SGC learns that he works for Immunotech and Sam, Teal'c and Quinn are assigned by General Hammond to travel to Steveston to investigate the case. The local sheriff tells that Dr. Fleming is missing and his laboratory was burned to the ground. They go to his house, but is totally clean. Out of the blue, the postman arrives and delivers a package from Dr. Fleming to Dr. Fleming. Sam opens the box and finds a syringe with a liquid. Soon they note that the residents have a strange behavior. What is the mystery of Steveston?

"Stargate SG-1 – Nightwalkers" uses the storyline of the classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" using symbiote. The result is a good episode without the participation of O'Neill. Sam is great as the SG-1 leader. My vote is eight.

X-Gate Warning: Spoilers
Would this had been an X-Files episode it would have easily been an 8 or 9. With Mulder noticing, fascinated, every quirk of the village people, Scully finding rational explanations for everything, Mulder more and more desperately, trying to proof to Scully that something is off and of course a finale where Scully does not see the big UFO built by these bodysnatchers. But, this is Stargate, and while SG-1 also has these comedic spooky episodes, this does not nail it, we have another broken ship put into Area 51 and still have to believe, that a 20cm creature inside you body just gets destroyed by antibodies and absorbed, without creating any harm.

Decent episode all played out on the home world, interesting to see the dynamic of the team without O'Neill. Well developed storyline though the resolution came a bit swift.

Excuse me, but I thought 1 had to have Naquadah in their blood

Warning: Spoilers
Excuse me, but I thought 1 had to have Naquadah in their blood for their eyes to glow, yet if I recall Major Carter mentioned that the cloned Gao'uld parasites had no Naquadah in their blood, thus no glowing eyes.
