The Goa´uld Invasion
claudio_carvalho15 October 2018
Jack is surprised by Kinsey in the room of his apartment, and the former vice-president discloses that the Trust is planning to convince the Russian government to request their Stargate back. Jack decides to use Kinsey as a mole wearing a wire in a meeting with the leaders of the Trust. However the signal is jammed and Kinsey vanishes. There is a serious crisis between the Russian and the American governments and Jack sends Daniel to Russia and Teal´c to Prometheus, while he stays at the SGC with Sam and the Russian Colonel Chekov trying to resolve the friction between their governments.

"Full Alert" is a full of action episode of "Stargate SG-1" with a good and tense story. The plot in the end is well-resolved but now the SGC needs to take care to see if there is any Goa´uld in their base. My vote is eight.

Rushed

For the consequences the storyline of this episode apparently reaps, it's quite rushed and ends abruptly. Though a fitting end to a quite nasty character.

Can Kinsey be Redeemed?
fcabanski23 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
It appears Kinsey heard about what happened to Harry. He was redeemed after constantly showing up and working with Jack.

Actually Kinsey is concerned the Trust is no longer working in the US' best interest, so he turns to Jack to get to the bottom of the situation.

It turns out the Goa'uld have infiltrated the Trust and are trying to start a nuclear war on Earth. Jack and the rest of SG-1 foil the plot in the nick of time.

The episode isn't great, but it isn't bad. It moves along the Goa'uld story line, and it gives some substance to the Trust.

No. Kinsey can't be redeemed. But he can get killed.

Low-Budget Blues

Things are really falling apart now. The production values are cheap, the sets minimal, the writing and action lazy and forced.

This should have been a suspenseful two-parter. They had built the trust into a powerful enemy force over the years and they bring it all to a conclusion so neatly in one episode, forcing the plot lines forward at breakneck speed. Simply to end it quickly and move on to the next episode/story line. Such a huge lost opportunity. The show was being run on a shoe-string budget at this point and it shows.

I had good memories of the show but it keeps getting worse.

Every show is getting more unreasonable and the suspension of disbelief is getting much harder. The military protocol is totally wrong. The international politics are ridiculous based on what the government's would know. The ease of deus ex machina in every episode is just stupid now.

All further episodes get 1 without major improvement.
