Good start to the season, a well developed storyline and great cast chemistry. There were actually a few good laughs. Plot set up a new dynamic for the season.

GREAT first of the season episode

Warning: Spoilers
All I can think of as an excuse for writing shows like this, is that the actor wants more money, so the producers end the season, six in this case, in a way that makes it easy to just fire and replace said greedy actor.....that said, this is a VERY well written episode of a well established SiFi show. I am very happy the character "Jackson" was brought back from the dead, and continues as a main member of Star Gate One. It wouldn't be the same without him and his funny comments. Now if they can just get Col./Gen. Jack O'Neil on the show more often in more recent seasons....anyway, I digress; if you read this far you already know the show and all the sub-plots and story lines swirling through this episode. Lots of fun stuff going on here fans - a great way to start the new season, number seven....

Decent enough episode

Warning: Spoilers
Wow, the creators of this episode just went full Star Wars. When they blow the power core for Anubis' super weapon, it looks EXACTLY like the power core for the second Death Star. They also do a quasi trench run right beforehand. It's ridiculous, and I laughed out loud. Still a fun episode.

Boring Episode
claudio_carvalho8 July 2017
"Fallen" is a boring episode of "Stargate SG-1" that seems to be exhausted after six seasons. The death of Dr. Daniel Jackson was a big mistake of the authors. However his absurd and nonsense return is awful. The SG-1 fighting the goa'uld Anubis is repetitive since only changed the villain. The jokes of Jack O'Neill are turning this character silly instead of funny. Sam Carter, Teal'c, Hammond, Dr. Fraiser and Jonas are still OK, and Amanda Tapping is becoming prettier with age. Her hair style now is very beautiful. My vote is five.

I feel like I've seen this before...

Warning: Spoilers
S you know my tastes:

I am a current binge-watcher of older SciFi. For TV series, I most enjoy Star Trek, especially TNG, DS1, and VOY, though other series have a few cherry picked episodes. I also enjoy portions of Farscape, portions of (2004) Battle Star Galactica. For movies, I most enjoy 2001; A Space Odyssey. I respect Star Wars 4-6 and enjoy portions of it. The ST movies are all pretty poor quality, though 2- 4 are pretty fun. I do not enjoy the JJAb. reboots at all.

What I like: -Made-up science (I love "treknobabble"). -Human(oid)s dealing with emotional and moral issues, especially about new technology. -No magic, because it tells me the writers were too lazy to make up cool technology.

Review:

I'm as happy as anyone about the return of Daniel; I was never a huge fan of Jonas. Nevertheless, This episode is a mash-up of other SciFi movies.

Daniel Jackson is reborn a la ST3: A Voyage Home. With little to no outside help, SG1 (including both Jonas and Daniel) concocts a hair- brained scheme to blow up a planet-destroying weapon by shooting into an exposed vent a la SW4, SW6, and (later) SW7. For the episodes two main arcs to be ripped off is inexcusable.

This gets a 3/10 only because I enjoy the little bits of larger arc material in the episode, and the strong writing of the characters throughout the series.

Quite Mediocre

Warning: Spoilers
Simply put, this is when Michael Shanks (the actor who plays "Daniel Jackson") is reintegrated into this show. After being gone for 1 season, Dr. Jackson returns. Reportedly, Shanks was tired if his same old role; also, money issues. The back story of this episode deals with finding the "Lost Planet". I found it dubious.
