Fragile Alliance
claudio_carvalho8 May 2017
When the Tok'ra are attacked by Goa'uld, they flee to a secret SGC base in a remote planet where Earthling (Tau'ri) are working with a group of rebel Jaffa under the command of O'Neill. Soon there is friction between the Tok'ra and the Jaffa groups and tension increases when there murders in the base and a Naqudah generator is sabotaged. Who might be the traitor?

"Allegiance" is a good episode of "Stargate" with the lack of confidence of different people. The story is intriguing and well resolved, and the former fragile alliance of Tau'ri, Jaffa and Tok'ra seems to be evolved. My vote is eight.

Title (Brazil): "Allegiance"

All the big hitters are in one episode and of course its one big disaster. Decent storyline and acting. Resolution came rather swiftly and ended a bit abruptly.

Gee, the same time as "Predator" came out. Huh....

Anyway, long episode trying to draw out that theme. Kept waiting , thought, for stupid Jack to do his one-liners. The fighting and killing sorta put a dampener on that insanity. Ah, but, nope... still was able to come off with satirical, campy off the wall lines. Sure glad for the needed comic relief... not!

Then get the frequency idea and expose the villian. So, first time started shooting at it (never mind the crowd of people behind it). But is okay because in typicall SG1 fashion noting every gets hit, even with 40 people shooting.

Ah, but Jack picks up the SAW machine gun and shoots in a circle. "Everyone down!" he yells. Good thing the invisible assailant didn't know to do that too!

Then finally it appears again. But, don't shoot it. Do stand there everyone because only have about 5 seconds. And Jack the court jester, who just got done firing a machine gun in a circle over everyone's head... stops and gets his knife. (God, anyone, make it stop).

Wow, brilliant writing. Must of thought the plot holes were invisible too and no one will care if doesn't make sense. Done.
