I watched the first season on DVD very long ago. I was never a fan of the regular cast. Years and years later I bought the (often malfunctioning) Seasons 6 - 8 boxset, and those two, Ryan and St. John, showed how it should be done.
Watching this I am deeply critical of Rita. She delivered those anti-blonde lines soulless with no spirit, and made herself all the more dislikable to me. Generally I watch for the sake of the guest stars. Lisa Stahl was fantastic, the only reason to watch, her character was unfairly mistreated, she was overly ambitious but actually sweet to everybody, not completely fake, noticed how she rushed to assistance of Meyerson at the end, showing genuine concern... but then got kicked out of sight, show over. I didn't like that.
I totally dislike Rita.
