Charles H. Gray joins the Rawhide cast as semi-regular Clay Forrester in this episode. But his original intentions along with Chris Alcaide and his men are to
steal the Gil Favor herd. But first the ruse is to have Eric Flemig buy 750 head
from Alcaide and for Forrester to go with them and size up the opposition.
Also along is Anne Helm a runaway bride from an army post who has decided that being an army wife ain't for her. She complicates things all around for everyone in ways she doesn't even realize.
You never know with Gray his portrayal is most ambiguous. But since he cane back you know it worked out.
