Lotttts of Fun!

Warning: Spoilers
"It tastes like cum where's the cheddar?" ~Deb With episode 17, Queer as Folk presents some new issues and finally brings Melanie and Lindsay back together again! Justin finally finds an ally in his quest to free his private school of its homophobic roots after the continued harassment that he receives (someone destroys all of his artwork!). David and Michael throw a party for the senator, and all of Michael's guests show up unannounced. Hal Sparks does a great job of portraying Michael's confusion and his irritable state. Deb once again has some great lines, and Brian is just as amazing as ever (thanks in large part to Gale Harold.) Overall another great episode.

Disappointed to see a supposedly tolerance-driven show fuelled by intolerance

*Sigh* Queer as Folk is a nice show, with great acting, interesting stories and overall nice technical qualities.

Still, it continuously bedazzles me on the issue of tolerance and open-mindedness. Yes, being lesbian or gay is okay. Then why would be French would make you someone evil?

Why would it be okay to portray French individuals as impatient-antisocial-impolite-law-breaking morons that every Americans love to hate? I could go on with other examples involving heterosexuals or other kind of people.

It feels like QAF is just replacing one kind of hatred with another.

Sad and disappointing, for a supposedly mind-opening show.

Episode #1.16

Warning: Spoilers
I hate this episode. Are they kidding me? And the fun thing is that they seemed to fool most people with their "morality" since Brian is the good guy but fans don't like Michael on the show. Because you know, Brian being an arrogant POS who controls other people is a good thing, but Michael getting a bit snobby for a short time is a crime.

And he also should be allowed to choose whom to invite to his parties. yet Michael is a bad guy while people who are supposed to be his friends get butt-hurt, dress up like they are at Halloween and crash his party are somehow the awesome people. It didn't even have anything to do with them being themselves, they never act like this so they just did it to harm him. And when it comes to Debbie, I would never invite that vulgar, fat and ignorant idiot anywhere. So what she is not homophobic, it doesn't make her any less of a dumb brick that she is. Yeah right, the senator liked her. Everyone loves a clown from time to time. Michael should have never apologized. It should have been the other way around.

Oh yeah, this "good hearted" Lindsay. Like I predicted soon enough she didn't care about her friend anymore. I don't see a reason for Mel and Brian being so against it even if she would be still with Mel she could have helped him. I find it funny how even the giving up parenting rights by Brian couldn't be done just as a good act. he didn't do it to make anyone happy. His main reasoning wast to harm the french guy. that's all he ever wants.

Awful episode. Hope there will be less of those
