My Head Hurts

Sometimes the plot isn't important in a dramatization. Sometimes there really isn't a plot. The two characters, Buffy and Stephanie are so tiresome and their voices so grating, I could hardly watch. These two become friends because they are both in the shallow end of the pool. They do things to hurt people, make fun of everyone, have no original ideas or thoughts. I really tried to find something to like but I never did. The subplot is also lacking. Larry and the boys are taking up magic so they can present rewards to the clients at the restaurant. At one point they are going to saw Dick in half. This should be funnier than it is.

Buffy Denver, Dick's overly perky and ditsy former co host, strikes up a friendship with Stephanie, driving Dick crazy.

Hilarious episode with a great performance by Julie Brown as Buffy. Brown was a talented comic performer most famous in the 1980s for her MTV parody songs like "The Homecoming Queen's Got A Gun". Her giggly character gets together with shallow Stephanie leading to a disagreement over being stood up. Dick tries to mend things between them because he cannot stand having Buffy's cutesy talk all the time. He calls her friendship with Stephanie the pajama party that never ends. There is an equally funny subplot about Larry and the Darryls having a magic act. They get Dick to volunteer to be sawed in half. The funniest moment is when Larry, saw in hand,doesn't realize there is a trick to it!

Great and funny episode!

Julie Brown steals the show as a hilariously annoying but sweet character that seems almost as silly as 'Stephanie'. I thought it was a good show.
