Greedy and ruthless corporate raider Lawrence Bauer (ably played to the slimy hilt by Dennis Christopher) uses voodoo priestess Matilde (the always excellent Pam Grier) as a means of making a killing in the world of big business. However, his bargain with Matilde comes with some pretty serious attachments.
Director Randell Moldave keeps the absorbing story moving along at a constant pace as well as milks the voodoo angle for all its worth. Moreover, it's a treat to watch conniving weasel Bauer be tormented before meeting a fitting gruesome end. Character actor Tracey Walter acquits himself well as hardworking janitor Ed. The demon seen at the end looks super gnarly, too. A cool show.
