It Had to Come Tumbling Down
Hitchcoc31 March 2015
The first part ends with Hawkeye and Margaret in an embrace as bombs are dropping all around them. The problem is the morning after when Hawkeye realizes this was in the heat of battle and Margaret is making plans to divorce her husband (who probably deserves it). This leads to verbal fisticuffs. Meanwhile back at the MASH, B.J. gets impatient and talks a chopper pilot into looking for the lost souls. This doesn't sit well with Potter. The tension mounts between the couple as they need to deal with being rescued and the events of the previous night. Hawkeye realizes that he is the worse offending party and must find peace with Margaret.

Douglas Rowe as Aylesworth

Warning: Spoilers
Douglas Rose starred as chopper pilot Aylesworth, who should have become a semi-regular. In this special episode, Hawkeye and Margaret explore their feelings for each other, especially after sharing a passionate kiss amidst explosions and death. Margaret also found out her husband was two-timing her.

Hawkeye and Margaret are stranded, then are rescued
randydonahue30 October 2006
In the previous episode (Comrades in Arms, Part 1) Hawkeye and Margaret travel by jeep to give a presentation to another unit, the 8063rd. On the way there, Hawkeye is injured, they lose their jeep, and are stranded behind enemy lines. Under this tension, they briefly become lovers and have to deal with that issue in addition to being rescued. Interesting dynamics between them as Hawkeye tries to dig his way out of an unwanted/unexpected relationship with Margaret. Hawkeye was VERY grateful to be rescued from Margaret's clutches if not from the enemy. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Margaret is no exception as she realizes that Hawkeye does not return her affections (she seemed willing to ditch her fiancé Lt. Col. Donald Penobscot for Hawkeye after their night together) - she had just received a letter from Donald with another woman's name on it and was not real happy with him.
