Hank (Jeffrey Tambor in peak pompous form) endorses an exercise device that turns out to be a dangerous lemon. Meanwhile, Arthur (a marvelously cantankerous Rip Torn) conducts a behind-the-scenes tour of the show for his TV class.
This episode features Hank at his most hysterically bumbling and embarrassing: In the single most painfully sidesplitting scene Hank refers to Larry's ex-wife Francine (sharply played by Kathryn Harrold) as the c-word while having a heated conversation with Larry (the always fine Garry Shandling) in Larry's office and promptly regrets it. Another choice hilarious scene has Hank and Larry fiercely arguing with each other in between shooting promos for the show. Tambor's fearless portrayal of the hapless and obsequious Hank gives this particular episode an extra biting edge.
