Larger scale, but awful characters

Props to the producers for upping the game for the fourth season premiere. It's supersized, got that "TV movie" vibe, and they actually filmed it in the Windy City (as opposed to setting the story anywhere in the U.S. and filming it among the dirt roads and mountains of obviously-Los Angeles). Production values speak volumes. It's an episode of gimmicks, be it a new recurring cast member or a sweet new upgrade for K.I.T.T.

Sadly, those upgrades don't cover the villains as well, which are downright awful. Cluesless henchmen led by waxy-handed robot guy. It undercuts the "death" of a major character when it's at the hands of discount bad guys.

Best season starter of the series, there were a few cool car moments and fairly decent acting. The cast was expanded and awesome modifications to the classic KITT look.

Baby Come Back From The Dead

I cannot believe that they penetratted the molecular bonded shell with a spray truck. Michael gets honeytrapped once again and his mind staying in his pants in the beginning gets him into big trouble. A fake Devin is created using Lazers from 1985 that make another dude look and sound like Devin. It's totally Devin. He plays himself twice as evil Devin and desperately kidnapped, not hungry, Devin. Michael's honeytrap looks like she should be Tori Spelling's mom. Kitt gets rebuilt after Ramrod gets past the special shell. This episode tackles terrorism way before terrorism became cool. The isotope gets jacked, but as always, another episode must go on and the isotope gets back to the foundation. Oh yeah, the foundation puts Michael on suspension.

I don't remember this episode from my youth, but what a let down.

Firstly, for a feature length episode, there's not much in the way of action and takes a while to get going.

Winton Knight suddenly has a daughter who decides she wants rid of the Foundation for no real reason "running around like James Bond" well, he's a crime fighter, fighting those above the law and saving lives, and why is it now abbreviated to "FLAG" it sounds ridiculous!

A mad scientist who happens to know fast to much about the Foundation (not for the first time) manages to concoct a miracle spray up make KITT vulnerable, even though they only had one third of the formula to his molecular bond, and then we witness KITT outclassed by one of the worst looking vehicles ever.

Then there's the introduction of RC3, who happens to be better at rebuilding KITT than Bonnie. I also found it hilarious that his "pit crew" just happened to be waiting behind a door with their tool boxes at the ready.

I also forgot about the "super pursuit mode" which makes our beloved KITT seem like a reject from the Transformers. It was like a poor version of Hot Rod changing to Rodimus Prime. Then they make it worse with a convertible mode as well. Really!!??

Also, why does Michael decide to dress like Don Johnson at the end? Was he joining Miami Vice?

Worst episode of the four seasons as Marta played by Pamela Susan shopping frames Michael so Kitt is demolished and sets up Devon to help Dr Nordstrom yet gets off Scott free once Nordstrom is caught episode is poor only thing saving it is rc3
