You had me there

For a second I was almost fooled, which I appreciated, the acting was actually decent and the storyline interesting. Though of course there was a woman involved, her character had some depth.

Gulty!... of being a mediocre episode

Warning: Spoilers
Plot; A drug smuggler plants heroin on Michael, who is subsequently suspended from F.L.A.G. Michael then goes to work for the smuggler in an effort to clear his name.

When the star of your show is a talking car, the bar for the story's logic is so low even Peter Dinklage would have to bend down to go beneath it, but it's still obligated to make at least some sense within the established universe. Here, Michael is suspended when a drug smuggler plants heroin on him because, as his boss Devon Miles puts it, "public pressure". Public pressure. On a man who the opening titles tells us "Does not exist". Public pressure on a guy who drives a top-secret talking car for a secret organization that does secret things. Yeah.

Anywho, if you set that stuff aside it's a middle of the road episode. We know Michael is innocent, and there's some (relative) dramatic gristle in watching him operate outside of F.L.A.G. in an attempt to clear his name (all of it undermined by a twist Stevie Wonder could see coming), but hey, talking car stunts.

One of my favourite episodes

Top-tier episode that finds Michael Knight found with drug possession, he gets suspended from his organisation, then outed permanently and ends up killing Miles when working for nasty drug pin Lasalle - but it's all obvious that Knight is undercover, though it's still fun, the plot is smooth with some good suspense and it all keeps you guessing, especially in regards to what the bad guy wants. Of course, we know it's a diabolical plan. This is a brilliant addition to a killer series. Poor KITT has to put up with a renegade Knight, crocodiles, but he gets to pull that helicopter down with ease.
