Let's go truckin'

A nice trucking episode that is quite relaxing with the country song in the background when there's no component thefts, car exploding and Kitt dodging bullets. It's leisurely paced with Michael investigating the case of a shipment of highly sensitive Micro-Tech electronic components stolen near Albuquerque, New Mexico, and finds himself attracted to the cause of the Alliance of Independent Truckers, who have lost 6 shipments. He is also attracted to AIT spoke-person and lady trucker Terri 'The Tiger' Calley.

Not a 10, but also not quite a 4, good buddy

This may surprise some of you, but David Hasselhoff is no Laurence Olivier. That said, as Michael Knight he displays an effortless charm and square, but never stiff, likability. No small feat considering %70 of his dialog is exchanged with the inert and lifeless dashboard of an '82 Tans-Am.

This episode sees the intrepid Knight trying to stop a mysterious group hijacking independent truckers while simultaneously wooing the pretty but tough as nails female trucker.

I really don't want to spoil it for you, but Michael gets the girl and saves the day.

Well there were a couple of bears trying to stop the goon from chasing down the bandits who were doing their best to keep the truckers from rolling. That's a big 10-4 good buddy.

Knight Moves

Morgan Woodward memorable as Punk Anderson in Dallas, guest stars as a sheriff who is suspicious of Michael Knight.

Michael has been sent to investigate the theft of electrical components from trucks in New Mexico. Devon thinks the hijackings have been highly organised with some inside knowledge. An alliance of independent truckers have lost six shipments, they have found that their lives have been put in danger and are on the verge of losing their livelihood as rival truck companies circle round them ready to pick the carcass.

Michael introduces KITT to CB radio slang. KITT is impressed with the truckers concern for wildlife. Everytime one of them spots a bear, they let the other truckers know.

Michael also finds time to charm one of the tough as nails lady trucker.

A rather average episode of the first season of Knight Rider, rather cheese filled.
