Mai Zetterling is a female con artist Carol who poses as European royalty to buy expensive jewellery.
Only to be arrested by two fake policemen for passing a dud cheque. They take the jewellery with them as evidence.
They have been succeeding with this con all over Europe. Inspector Duval is determined to stop this gang but Carol always manages to give the police the slip.
Eventually her vital statistics gives her away when she needs new made to measure outfits.
There is some humour as Duval is left with egg on his face courtesy of cunning Carol.
There is a good performance from Zetterling who seems to be a good match for Interpol.
