Has anyone here seen this episode?
lazur-21 July 2006
Alan , ( " Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda " ) Sherman , inventor of " I've Got a Secret " , and writer for the original show, apparently didn't enjoy the corporate aspects of his involvement on the show, ( boring meetings , etc. ) , and was let go by Goodson / Toddman, the producers of this, and most other game shows of the the fifties , sixties , and seventies. Mention is made on one of his biographies that the situation came to a head on the "Tony Curtis" episode, but nothing else is written. Does anyone know what happened on this episode to cause the firing of the creator of the show? .....Alan Sherman , who , more than ten years later, came to greater fame with his re-wording of well - known melodies with humorous, usually Jewish - based, lyrics, brought the show's idea to fruition when he was only 27 years old. The show's re - runs continue to be entertaining representations of what adults were watching during this era , when everything was "low tech" by today's standards , but also more civilized and intellectual than what is commonly thought of as entertainment by the 21st century audience.
