Some basic laughs

Good idea for an episode in a different setting. There is some good physical comedy in the diner . I am however in agreement that Ricky and Lucy were taking advantage of the Mertz's who were actually doing 99 % of the work.

It is pretty funny when the Mertz's left them on their own Lucy can't get track of the orders even when they are all there at different times! That and Ricky trying to do the diner talk like Fred!

Ethel did the cooking!

Warning: Spoilers
Ricky is tired of show business and wants a regular business. Fred and Ricky look over some possibilities. Lucy nixes the delicatessen while Ethel gives a definite no to a cocktail bar! Lol .

Ricky likes the idea of a diner and Fred and Ethel know how to run one having done it before.

Ricky has a following at the club and they buy one.

It's rather unfair from the get go. Ricky and Lucy basically hang out and socialize with customers for the club while Fred and Ethel do all the work. One thing is in changing the name of the place every name is mentioned but Ethel's . Lucy even said people like to eat where women do the cooking but it's Ethel doing it!

After a walkout by the Mertz's they divide it and both couples try to win over the one customer that shows up ( and he's drunk) .

It finally works up to a pie throwing fight and they all dissolve into laughter! A dinner can't break up these friends .

Turns out the previous owner makes a fortune selling it to people who want to go into business and then buys it it back the former owners when it becomes too much for them and they taking a loss so the old guy always makes money on it!

Only the drunk guy is there to hear it and throws a pie at him!

Little bit of Cuba

Normally I love the Ricardos and the Mertzes doing their thing. The foursome going into business and obviously it won't go well. Yet it's somehow not great even though it has all the elements for a good episode. The pie throwing is good. I agree with the Mertzes it's not fair they do all the work and Lucy and Ricky just stand around talking to the guests. I have to side with Ethel and Fred.
