This episode is worth it for a few reasons, but the main draw is the performance of Beah Richards as a Skid Row resident named "Pockets." She held her own as Sidney Poitier's mother in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and you can see her acting chops here as well.
Also very good is Anne-Marie Johnson as Isabel Teret, an ambitious newspaper reporter.
It's got a solid storyline, and we get to see Stepfanie Kramer (McCall) go undercover as a vagrant, which is always fun.
I'd give it a 9, but McCall wears one jacket (not undercover) that is so hideous even "it was the '80s" doesn't excuse it. Definitely a strong season-ending episode.
