The Bad Son
studioAT16 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The pilot episode of 'Frasier' was called 'The Good Son', and this episode 'The Bad Son' in Series 8 really marks the pilot of Frasier 2.0.

Because after all the chaos of the opening two parter we can now settle down into the new normal. Niles and Daphne together, Frasier still on the look out for love. And Roz...appearing when the writers deem her to be valid.

It's all very well played, with the key moment for me being when Frasier says that he's not ready for his dad Martin to move out just yet. What a contrast to how things were at the start of the shows run.

A better episode than the last two.

I never understood why Daphne moved the block

Warning: Spoilers
I never understood why Daphne moved the block. Niles stated he was going to get some books to hold the blanket so why did Daphne move the block to hold the blanket? She could have sat on it until Niles returned or put the picnic basket on it.

Another woman for frasier.
twanster-976554 May 2020
Frasier uses his dad to speak to another stunning woman, she then of course has to come to frasiers place because he never picks up his dates.. Niles and daphne still have to sneak around because niles is stuck in another messy devorse. Daphne has to hide her tummy because she was pregnant in real life and that thru a spanner in the works for the show as then they had to drag out an overwaight story.. For such a great show the writers really did let it down. They should have got niles together with daphne sooner so the audience could enjoy them settling down. They should have made frasiers love interests more realistic and explored frasier in a relationship because he starts single and ends single and has countless woman thru out the show.. Stunning woman, successful woman at that.

This episode has some funny moments, frasier and Martin at the care home is very funny but the overall show at this point is just beating the same drum. By the time niles and daphne are free, the show ends.

Quite Limp

Frasier uses Martin to hit on a young woman who works at a retirement home. There is a misunderstanding which causes things to fizzle. Daphne and Niles get caught on the roof of the building when all the doors lock. It's just kind of dull.
