The Babysitter

Wendie Malick is a bit like Felicity Huffman or Christine Baranski in the sense that they play the same type of role all the time, but well.

She joins the cast here as the love interest of Martin, and it's nice that in the final year of the show they can now navigate the characters towards their end goals.

It does feel a bit rushed, but on the whole it's all well played out.

I thought this was a nice episode of the show, with some funny moments along the way. I can't say I missed Roz that much, but then again perhaps she works best in small doses.

Overall, another decent episode of 'Frasier' from an eleventh series that has started well.

Ms. In Between!

Niles and Frasier spot a woman who babysat them when they were young. She is a lounge singer and still very attractive. Frasier, ignoring obvious problems ahead, decides to go after her. But when she comes to the apartment, it is Marty whom she is taken with. This leads to some big time soul searching. Frasier's immense ego is again on display.

My opinion

Good episode but Ronnie was a poor addition. Made no sense that she would have babysat niles and frasier as she's only 5 years older than frasier. It was also unrealistic that a woman who is so vain and goofy would be the one Martin settled down with. His best match was cam Winstons mother tho the writers for whatever reason made her vanish.. In this episode frasier chases another woman who ends up with his dad instead.. Its got funny moments but you could really tell the quality had dropped and the writers had given up.

"Rimshot Ronnie" Lawrence

Warning: Spoilers
The first episode with Ronnie Lawrence, as played by Wendie Malick. Simply can't stand her. Most of her lines sound like there should be a "Ba-dah-BUMP" drum rim shot after each sentence. Not a good match for Marty at all. What were they thinking?
