Match Made in Heaven (#6.18)

Another good episode. Looks like Carter's dealing with the stabbing isn't over yet. I like how they kept it in the show, just makes sense for him to have some worries.

Like the conflict between Cleo and Liza as well. Love how Liza deals with that. What Cleo and Peter are doing is not right, so I like how she is keeping it in control, let's see how it will be from now on.

An interesting story about abortion. Poor woman, this husband is ruining her life with his wishes. Must say that when he found out where his wife is I thought that Weaver was right when she was trying to make it more private, here is one time when it was necessary.

A sweet moment with Luka. While I don't like the character too much, this part really makes one sympathize with him. A very emotional scene where you see how horrible what this character went through has been.

Still great!

The indifferently selected six minutes cut out of each episode to make it fit more modern commercial time demands during its decades of reruns makes the shows' storylines somewhat confusing at times, but there's still enough there to be good. What I don't understand is, if you're buying the boxed set, why aren't you getting the full whack? There's certainly no discount provided for the missing time, nor is it included with bloopers etc.

Many staff have more self-importance than ability

Warning: Spoilers
Many staff have more self-importance than ability, including Cleo and, especially, Abby and "Deb." In fact, "Deb" was more willing to risk a patient's life than admit she needed Carter's help. Her reaction was not based on the patient's needs, but on her own injured image.

Abby's pro-abortion extremism clouded her judgment such that she did not detect the hesitation of, and possible lack of judgment by, a pregnant patient.

Carol refused to follow Carter's orders, without being subject to any discipline, of course.
