A bit hard to believe...though these supposedly were based on real cases!

Warning: Spoilers
The story of the arrest...and arrest...and arrest of Mark Hoffman is one that sure seems like a case of bad writing. After all, NO ONE could be like Hoffman, right?! Well, maybe. After all, the show prided itself of using real stories--mostly ones from the Los Angeles Police Department. But this one is so unbelievable you just need to see it for yourself.

Hoffman is a difficult criminal to catch--and one who vows he'll not be taken alive. The first time he's caught, Friday and the other police need to use tear gas. But, although supposedly secure in the local jail, the guy manages to escape. He's captured and sent to prison. Some time later, Hoffman comes to the office to see Sergeatn Friday and Officer Smith--and he's apparently now in the military and has turned his life around. He even gets the detectives to give him a few bucks. However, almost as soon as he leaves, they learn that Hoffman is AWOL from military prison! So, they once again pursue the guy--and the show ends in a hail of bullets!.

See what I mean about being unbelievable? Weird but very enjoyable to say the least!
