Mrs Peacock sets out to teach her philandering husband a lesson.
Sleepin_Dragon3 November 2015
Captain Peacock breaks the habit of a lifetime and is late for work. Mrs Slocombe tells everyone that the Peacocks aren't getting on, problems started during the Christmas Party, Captain Peacock had been overly flirtatious with Miss Pickthorne. Poor Captain Peacock's been kicked out of the house and can't find anywhere to stay. Mrs Peacock has apparently now got it on with Mr Rumbold, she's even employed as his secretary. She's all set to teach him a lesson, and he aims to catch her and Rumbold in the act.

Jack Haig's cameo is fun, an incredibly random moment, I kept waiting for him to say it! It is I.....

Captain Peacock's attempts at finding a place to stay are really funny. I love how he gets more worked up with each phone call.

Diana King is always good value as Mrs Peacock, pity she didn't get to appear in a few more, she was a bit of a sitcom legend.

It's pretty much made up entirely of recycled material, but it's still very funny and watchable. 7/10

A Personal Problem

This is an episode with a premise that sadly is not executed well, resulting in lots of actions that stretch credibility massively.

Not a good example of the show at its best, despite a stellar central performance from Frank Thornton as Captain Peacock.
