Harper and Trance have a run in with former employer Gerentex
Tweekums15 May 2018
This episode sees Harper and Trance somewhat surprised when Gerentex takes them captive on the Eureka Maru; they thought he was dead. It turns out he borrowed a lot of money to finance the mission to recover the Andromeda and he can't repay his dangerous creditors. He has a plan to make some money though; somebody has offered to sell him a map that gives the location of Tarn-Vedra; the former home of the leadership of the Systems Commonwealth that has been lost since The Fall. He forces them to help him in his quest. Meanwhile back on Andromeda Dylan and Beka are involved with some tedious negotiations with the Perseids.

This was an enjoyably episode; it was fun to see Gerentex return as he is an entertaining antagonist; his slight incompetence adds to his charm. The bounty hunter who is after him was more menacing so proved a second antagonist who is more threatening. It was fun seeing the way Harper and Trance reacted to the situation; it was particularly amusing to see Trance being friendly towards her captor. The cast are on good form; notably Laura Bertram and Gordon Michael Woolvett as Trance and Harper and John Tench is fun as Gerentex. As well as providing a fun story the episode also hinted at things to come with the map to Tarn-Vedra being recovered... of course it could turn out to be a red herring; false or out of date... only time will tell. The events back on Andromeda felt a bit tacked on but was entertaining enough. Overall a fun episode with a decent story and good action.
