- Several quite startling scenes where wolves, monsters, and giant vikings leap out and menace the characters. Inhuman vikings destroy the hero's home and kill hundreds of people.
- The hero character goes into the spooky lair of an evil spirit, after being told it will kill him. There a giant snake eel monster chases the hero and tries repeatedly to bite/eat him, but the artist hero cleverly defeats it.
- All the disturbing scenes are in an abstract style.
