Japanese director Hidetaka Miyazaki is responsible for several successful and critically acclaimed Soulslike games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring. The talent of FromSoftware has opened doors to partnerships and deals with major publishing companies like Sony and a few years ago, the two parties collaborated and brought the fan favorite Bloodborne, and fans are begging for a sequel.
Developing sequels is not a very popular option for Miyazaki. Bloodborne was a successful collaboration between FromSoftware and PlayStation and have moved forward with another exclusive project called Déraciné, a brand-new original title with a few splashes of the iconic FromSoftware atmosphere and eerie environments of Miyazaki.
The director’s creativity has sparked the curiosity of their players, and they believe that Déraciné was a nod for Bloodborne 2. However, that was never the case.

Josh Homme hosted an all-star benefit concert in support of his Sweet Stuff Foundation at the Belasco in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Over the course of the evening, he welcomed friends and collaborators to the stage, including Dave Grohl, Beck, St. Vincent, The Kills, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys, Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal, Bill Burr, and more.
Not surprisingly, Grohl provided several highlights. He went head to head against Smith in a drum off, and briefly attempted to sing a duet of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence” with Homme. Later, after joking that he attempted to learn how to play Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Read” to no avail, he instead debuted an entirely new song he wrote about Homme.

A trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was recently released. Damien Lewis’ book, Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of the Second World War, is the basis for an upcoming film.
It sheds light on the Special Operation Executive, a secret agency established by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
It highlights how this organization used secret operations to take on the Nazis throughout WWII. Though The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an exaggerated release of a story with elements of humor thrown in, the film depicts a pivotal event that changed the course of warfare in modern history.

A new documentary aims to add depth to the story of the singer-songwriter who was often just referred to as the wife of Johnny Cash
Crazy was most famously sung by Patsy Cline but written by Willie Nelson. I Will Always Love You was most famously sung by Whitney Houston but written by Dolly Parton. Ring of Fire, a love song reeking of sulphur and damnation, took off when Johnny Cash sang it on his 1963 album Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash.
But it was written by his wife, June Carter Cash, a singer, songwriter, musician, actor and author who spent much of her career in his shadow. “I feel aggrieved on her behalf,” says Kristen Vaurio, 46, director of a new documentary, June, which shines a light on one of music’s hidden figures.

This came as the season included high-grossing shows, such as Sweeney Todd, starring Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford and Funny Girl starring Lea Michele. That said, 2018-2019 was a record year for Broadway attendance and grosses. And the audience that returned after the theatrical shutdown was younger and more diverse.
As has been noted by members in the industry, suburban theatergoers, which had been a key audience segment, have been slow to return post-pandemic, with 14 percent of overall admissions coming from this segment in the 2022-2023 season, marking the lowest number on record in 23 years of the survey.

Willie Nelson was welcomed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday.
The 90-year-old music legend was introduced by Dave Matthews, who shared various anecdotes about Nelson’s altruism and weed smoking
Nelson then used his remarks to call on the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame to induct fellow members of his supergroup, The Highwaymen: “Now that Johnny [Cash] and I have been inducted, I want to give a plug for Waylon [Jennings] and Kris [Kristofferson].”
Alongside his son Micah and Lukas and members of his touring band, Nelson performed “Whiskey River” with Don Was and Chris Stapleton; “Crazy” with Sheryl Crow; and “On the Road Again” with Matthews, Crow, and Stapleton.

Willie Nelson is now officially a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Just don’t ask him what he has to do with rock & roll. “It’s been a long ride from my first DJ job to being here with y’all,” he said during his acceptance speech. “And as a DJ, I was playing those first songs by Elvis. I remember writers calling that ‘rockabilly’ rather than rock & roll, and I never did pay much attention to categories, and I’m not sure the fans did either.

Crazy Legs Features has nabbed film rights to The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince, the bestseller from Mayte Garcia, chronicling her romance with the iconic musical artist, for development as a scripted biopic. With the WGA strike in the rearview mirror, the company is now in search of a writer to pen the adaptation.
The first wife of the superstar born Prince Rogers Nelson, Mayte’s bestseller offers a perspective on Prince through their intensely personal relationship that shows a depth and nuance never revealed of the famously private and beloved artist. Sometimes, a rare gem of a movie comes along that feels very raw and intentional. Shortcomings does sometimes live up to its name, but it’s also a very thought-provoking film that just needed some polishing. You can read our full review to know why, but for now, let’s jump straight into the film. Ben and Miko have been together for six years, and lately, they get on each other’s nerves a lot more than they used to. Ben’s a very entitled man, in the sense that he thinks he knows best and wants to be different from everybody and have unique tastes. He thinks he’s above it all—race, art, film, relationships—and has no filter. In the opening act of the film, there’s a presentation of a movie made by Miko that looks very much like it came out of Crazy Rich Asians,...

TikTok's impact on the music industry can't be understated. Many of the biggest hits of the last five years started to gain fans and soar up the Billboard charts thanks to TikTok. One of the first songs to really show off the power of TikTok was Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," which ended up sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks in a row and launched Lil Nas X - then a teenager trying to break into the industry - to superstardom. Other songs that got a huge boost from fans on TikTok were Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage," Doja Cat's "Say So," and Benee's "Supalonely," which all became favorites on the app. There are also tons of older songs that got a boost and found new fans on the app, like Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams," Taylor Swift's "Love Story," and Patsy Cline's "Crazy.

For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, USC’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative has released its signature comprehensive report on the diversity of movies in front of and behind the camera.
Analyzing the 100 highest-grossing movies at the box office each year since 2007, AI2’s sample size has now reached 1,600 titles and 69,858 speaking characters. Over 16 years, the researchers found little change in the percentage of characters from nonwhite groups of every race and ethnicity except one: Asians represented 15.9 percent of characters in 2022’s top movies – up from 3.4 percent in 2007 (over a decade before Crazy Rich Asians ushered in an unprecedented era of visibility). But overall, nonwhite characters remained slightly underrepresented onscreen, with a 38.3 percent share compared to 41.1 percent of the U.S. population in real life. In 2007, 13 of the top 100 movies featured a lead or co-lead of color. Last year the tally was 31, slightly down from the 16-year high of 37 films the year prior.

Doechii isn't trying to convince the world of her star power. As she explains to Popsugar, "I don't usually think about that." The 24-year-old Tampa, Fl, rapper isn't concerned with "setting intentions" with her music, either. That's why, so far, she's seamlessly tapped into different lanes of hip-hop without holding herself to a specific label. Her boom-bap, autobiographical breakthrough hit "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" sounds nothing like the upbeat, airy rhymes delivered on her 2022 single "Persuasive." The same could be said for the rest of her multifaceted discography. And the fun of that leaves her little time to cater to her fans' every whim and want - she's too busy making the music they need.
"It's up for them to have that," Doechii says, unconcerned with fans' expectations. "However the art is interpreted, that's how it's interpreted. All I know is how I want them to feel."
Doechii's always been "super imaginative" with her art.

Rainn Wilson is opening up about his mental health during the years he was filming The Office.
The actor who gave life to Dwight Schrute throughout the nine seasons of the U.S. remake of the British sitcom created by Ricky Gervais was on the Bill Maher podcast Club Random where he revealed that being on the show felt like “wasn’t enough” to him professionally.
“When I was in The Office, I spent several years really mostly unhappy because it wasn’t enough,” Wilson said.
He added, “I’m on one of the great TV shows. People love it. I wasn’t enjoying it. I was thinking about, ‘Why am I not a movie star? Why am I not the next Jack Black or the next Will Ferrell? How come I can’t have a movie career? Why don’t I have this development deal?'”

It’s Britney, bitch.
Or at least, it’s a Broadway musical based on songs from the pop star’s catalog.
Entitled Once Upon a One More Time, the musical — which opened at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre on Thursday — is set to Spears’ hit songs, including “Crazy” and “Circus.” The story itself, however, is not about her own life, despite fans who may see parallels between the pop icon and the musical’s cast of fairytale characters.
The plot of the two-act show featuring more than 20 of Spears’ hits follows Cinderella and other well-known storybook princesses as they try to break free from their presumed “happily ever after” narratives in search of their own empowerment. (A clandestinely acquired copy of Betty Friedan’s The Feminine Mystique plays a key role in this.)
“In that sense, it really feels a bit kismet that it’s tracking what she’s going through,...
