Charming Mockumentary
inkblot1115 December 2004
Ken teaches history but is obsessed with a musical instrument, the triangle. Passed over for a children's musical concert long ago, he longs to play the triangle with a real orchestra. His patient wife and two little girls try to bear with his eccentricities, as do all of his friends. In fact, two of his closest pals are shooting a film about his quest for musical fame. Through close calls with an irate orchestra leader to crossing heads with the spouse, Ken's triangle tribulations are many, indeed. Will life play out as a sour note?

This mockumentary is a quiet gem. Ken Jones, the star, has a low key sense of humor that is infectious. The surrounding cast of characters support him well and the small city atmosphere is welcoming. This movie may dwell in the category of undiscovered films but for those who enjoy films such as Waiting for Guffman, try, try again to find this movie. It will set your heart to ringing.
