good sketch
Kirpianuscus4 April 2021
A decent film , using the familiar ingredients, giving well crafted scenes and credible message of the quest of Truth. Sure, it remains a sketch but a great one for high correctness , acting and the effort of a low budget film maers to remind, in fair way, the story of Resurrection.

Not great but not terrible....

Profanity- None.

Sexual reference- None.

Blood, Gore & Violence- Many flashbacks to the death of our Saviour.

Review- This film is somewhat confusing (for me at least). The plot is OK but there are a few holes here and there. It isn't the most horrible film ever but it isn't the greatest movie ever.

Warning: Spoilers
Awesome, awesome movie! It's a story of fiction where Claudius, one of the Roman soldiers who crucified Jesus, is also there at the tomb when Jesus rises. He catches a glimpse of Jesus alive, and doesn't know what to think. He eventually realizes that he'd helped to kill an innocent man, and goes looking for answers. He finds his way to the disciples, and while he's telling them what he saw, Jesus appears in the room with them, behind the soldier. The scene where a hand suddenly appears on Claudius' shoulder, and we see the nail-mark in it, is incredible. This movie goes to show that Jesus even forgave the man who KILLED him. That one scene always makes me cry! A movie definitely worth watching!

Roman court of inquiry
bkoganbing23 January 2021
At the Roman Jerusalem garrison on of the legion gets the double duty of being part of the party that carried out the crucifixion of Jesus and the two thieves. He's then given the duty of being part of the party that guards the tomb of Joseph of Arimethea where Jesus was interred.

Only Claudius the protagonist of our story played by Robert Jobe gives out with a strange story which I won't reveal. The rest of the guard detail tell the inquiry that they fell asleep. After all guarding a tomb for violation can be mighty dull work. But that was then and now a serious offense in the military. But the court lets them go.

No doubt the Roman and Jewish Sanheddrin establishment are working to cook up some plausible story especially as reports of Jesus being up and about are heard. As for Claudius he's got some most critical life choices to make.

For a non-professional production Resurrection is both good and imaginary. It has characters you can identify with even in modern times.

It will probably only get church basement showings and on Christian telvision and that's a pity.
