The only excitement you'll experience is from the goofs.
fangomatic11 April 2006
Acting in this movie is amateur (makes one wonder what motivated the choice of genre), representing typical, nonetheless exasperating, mix of inadequate feelings (consequently, behavior) and involuntary pauses between lines being filled with either blank or bewildered facial expressions.

Arguably, the plot isn't much worse than that of the "exclusive horror" movie majority, meaning it's plain, predictable and thus, boring (when not silly).

Dialogues complete "Mr. Hell" as a cinematographic disaster, being fragmentary, extremely uninformative and unnatural. Moreover, sadly, the writers chose to uphold the flawed tradition of covering up the lack of scariness with would-be humor, would-be irony and would-be sarcasm, manifested in shabby, overly repetitive "cliché - change of context - touché" form.

The only thing that counts positive is solid B-class photography.

What the hell?
AAChaoshand3 November 2006
Wow, simply Wow. This movie is also craptastic. I gave it a 4 because of a great scene where a mercenary chick has sex but thats bout it. This movie is about a guy that gets killed by a little girl by means of a flesh eating virus in a research plant, or so it seems since they don't actually tell you. Anyway she grow up and becomes a security guard there and these random mercenaries show up for the virus since it sells for a lot. They raid the place and take over while Mr. hell comes out of a oozing can of slime. He kills people and takes their eyes to stay alive and in the end that stack of eyes is destroyed and so is he. The only good part is when the blonde mercenary gets naked and has sex then puts on her red thong. Bad acting, bad props, bad funding, bad idea, wasteful crap.

The Poor SFX Guy...
iarepacman22 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I feel bad for the special effects artist on this one, as they are the only person who should feel like they accomplished anything. The acting may or may not be terrible, its hard to tell when the dialogue is that atrocious. I don't mean c level horror movie bad where its fun, I mean just awful. The plot makes absolutely no sense, and the killer is resurrected with a plot device lifted directly from the killer snowman: Jack Frost of all things. The main plot device involving the eyes is hokey through the film, then all of a sudden absolutely ridiculous with the final fleeting moments. The sex scene is among the silliest I have ever witnessed, I have seen better rationale for sex in porn flicks. Heres two people outside! Now they're banging! Nowthe killer is there! Watching! Wow! The cg effects however are considerably better than found in most direct to video films, and are the ONLY thing this movie has going for it.

Warning: Spoilers
when i got this movie,i did't expect too much...but,after watching it....well,i certainly didn't regret....it was so lame, that i laughed with tears....i have never laughed like this ever in my life...the acting is pathetic,unconvincing...the script is hilarious,a mixture of mercenaries and monsters ,which, honestly, don't quite work together...but the best achievement of this movie is the performance of Mr.hell himself, who managed to impress me with his retarded facial-expression...lord...he had the funniest face i have ever seen...horror?no way...better comedy..watch it if you have a healthy sense of humor and absolutely nothing better to do

Awful Movie, Awful Acting, Avoid Mr Hell At All Costs.
hoppz17 April 2006
I Have to say i have seen some pretty bad movies in my time and i actually quite like bad horror movies. I'm a huge fan of B Movies and independent film unfortunately you occasionally get your fingers burned like i did with Mr Hell.

One thing i'm happy about is i never paid to see this movie if i had i would have demanded my money back directly from the film makers. there's just no excuse for a movie this bad.

It looks terrible, the acting is awful, the diolouge is some of the worst i have ever seen in a low budget film and thats saying something.

worst of all it wasn't scary at all the FX where terrible and its attempts at humour where utterly horrible.

I wish i could give this movie less than a rating of 1 but unfortunately i cant however if i can say anything positive the gore is plentifull avoid this movie, regardless of your taste in film i guarantee you wont like this its impossible to find anything at all good to say about it.

it gets a 0.5 rating in my book and the 0.5 is there purely for the gore.

Awful, Awful, Awful...

Mr. Hell of bad acting
ekerol23 September 2006
I resisted about 20minutes in front of the screen, but it wasn't the flick nor the murders...it was the horror acting of those people cause i can't refer to them as actors.

I've seen school plays better directed with better acting and why not with even more credibility from the actors than this one, I mean pleeease not even the swearing is believable, so yes i give it a 1 for awful.

If he is Mr. Hell than his name probably comes from the acting cause he killed every single line of script and every single frame of film the director wasted on one of the worst movies ever.

If you wanna see a better movie with a killer that plucks the eyes of from his victims you should go to see "See no evil" cause even though the "bad childhood" cliché was overdone, you don't get up from your chair screaming in horror cause of the awful non-existing acting

There isn't too much worse than this!!!
WOW!!! Is this movie bad and I mean BAD!!! There's like no special effect violence or gore in this movie at all!! And to say this is a slasher movie that's not a good thing.

All these good reviews are clearly fake put up by the director and his friends no doubt!! No redeeming qualities in this movie whatsoever!!

With the exception of Tracy Scoggins (Who recently removed her name from the credits I might add, What's that tell you) all the women in this movie are ugly and the acting is as bad as I've EVER seen in a "B" movie (And I try to see them all) Do something better with your money like buying a 12 pack and looking out your window because I guarantee you'll get more entertainment doing that that watching one minute of this movie.

I really don't know what is worse the fact that I rented this movie or the fact that I actually watched the whole thing...I think I would've paid the rental fee to have not watched this movie as now I'm out both my money and my time. Two simple words STAY AWAY!!!!!

Awful
emtitrauma2 October 2007
The worst acting I've seen. No talent. Even worse story line. Amy Morris is such a pretty woman, maybe she could be cast in a better movie. The writers made the two workers down below such idiots. This movie has no.. repeat.. no commom sense. The special effects should be re-named the stupid effects. Nothing made any sense. I would hate to know I went and spent money to see this movie....Oh but wait, I did, I rented it. Well I wanted to watch a horror movie and I guess I did. It was a horror to watch it. The bad guys come in with a load of weapons to take over a run down toxic plant with one teenage security guard at the gate with headphones and one more lady security guard armed with a coffee cup and bad acting.

A production without any viewable value
deks627 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Before anything, I have to tell you this: This is the first movie I have EVER stopped watching in the middle, and the only reason I kept on watching it thus far was because I wanted to give it a fair chance.

Seen Buffy the vampire hunter or whatever it's called? Angel? Those are great shows compared to this. The idea behind this movie could have become decent, perhaps even great, I mean, a killer that moves from body to body, although done before, could still be a great plot.

You will only a few minutes in realize that this is bad, and I promise you, it won't get any better. The acting is absolutely horrible, right from the start. What teenage girl will be so sensible after seeing her father killed like that? Hell, she barely made any expression, let alone cry or scream much. Although that's probably more to do with the script rather than the acting, which too is one of the most things I have to encounter.

This may be a extremely low-budget, no paid actors, cheap special fx production and whatnot, but that's no excuse, save you the money, or time even, and do not watch this. It's not even so bad that you can laugh at it, and that my friends, are really bad.

The Best Part Of This Is The Humor
otherworldconspiracy27 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The cover for this movie was amazing. The movie that the case contained, though, was not. It was a completely different story. It turns out that this is a B movie. Have you ever seen Goosebumps? If so, then I'll tell you now that those graphics, when it comes to things such as melting people, are slightly better than the ones in this movie. The storyline is okay, but it could've been better. I won't spoil that for you, though. In some parts of the movie, absolutely nothing makes sense. Two characters will do something just for the heck of it. What am I talking about? I'll tell you. *SPOILER* In the middle of the movie, two characters, for absolutely no reason, right out of the blue, strip down in broad daylight, right in front of Mr. Hell, mind you, and start having sex. It was a scene that had nothing to do with the movie. Right after they're done, they start fighting Mr. Hell using martial arts.*END OF SPOILER* Strange. But the graphics, events, actors, and stupidity of some of the characters itself makes this movie worth it. It seems that some of the characters have absolutely no mind of their own. I give it a 5/10 just because of the humor.

"Mr. Hell" DVD Release April 18th, 2006
bigal197413 May 2006
Well, I don't feel this a bad movie, it all depends on how you look at it. I say that as an actor, writer, and soon a producer appearing in this movie as Dr. Karl Matthews, I do appreciate all comments. It is useful to understand what fans want to see, and we hear you, but also understand many "B" Horror Movie goers, can appreciate this film for what it is, simply put, although this film DID lack many things, the writing was fantastic, and for first time Horror Director Rob McKinnon, and the talented writer David Carren I can say I look forward to seeing what they can do in the near future. I say look for more from Rob McKinnon and Jolene McMaster with Pure Horror Films. Thanks for the opportunity guys, I appreciate it! One more thing...I hate to say this but since we are being blunt I take offense to the bad acting comment. Put yourself in the actor and director's shoe's for a moment and then we can talk intelligently about any movie you would like to discuss. I am a big fan of movie's and who isn't! Sincerely, ABM

Very good film!!
Cinema_Love13 April 2006
If you want to have a good laugh, this is the movie you need!! It has the feeling of an old school horror movie. Don't think you will see a masterpiece because it's not, what Mr.Hell is though is a good entertaining movie. The special effects are so bad that it makes the movie even more enjoyable. The talent effort is there, nothing really good but nothing really bad either. The storyline is simple, a doctor get killed 15 years ago by an ancient soul-taker, Mr.Hell... and now he has returned. MR.Hell is quite sadistic but it's nothing really gory. Like I said, it worth the price at the video store, because I laugh more in this movie than any other comedy with Ashton Kutcher, Seann William Scott, David Spade who try to be funny but aren't, and retarded actors like that!

What about the stunts???
radcavpup25 April 2006
Did any of you, "who watched the movie", actually see any of the stunts performed?? If so, what did you think? I watched the movie, and I'm no motion picture stuntman, but I thought the action was awesome! If anyone out there has actually scene the movie, and didn't help make the movie, please give an honest reply about the stunts. I have not scene a B-movie with action such as stair-falls, fire-burns, and fight scenes to the caliber of Hollywood in ANY B-rated movie EVER! Please respond with your personal opinion. Whether you like the movie or not, let's hear what you think about the stunts in this film. From a novice's point of view, tell me, (the B-Rated movie fan), what people think.

Mr. Hell the Movie is one hell of a roller coaster ride.
movieprosun21 April 2006
Mr. Hell is a roller coaster ride to hell. This film is a throw back to the days of old, and sometimes feels as if you are watching a 1970's horror flick. Set in a toxic chemical plant the movie delivers some great special effects and sets. Watching this film you feel yourself lost in the endless corridors of an old chemical plants tunnel system. One would be hard pressed to find sets this good even in Hollywood. This is a very dark film with some of the best low budget special effects this reporter has seen in sometime. Great FX Company ( ProFX Inc.) Very good B Movie. Gary Watson pulled off a very good piece of work with the filming of this low budget soon to be horror cult film. Great shots Gary! Hope to see more from this team in the future. Great FX company.
