- Items/weapons are used against other racers, including turtle shells (both regular and explosive), bombs and special attacks. Said weapons usage is mild in approach and do not deal major collateral damage to the kart or characters; they merely slow them down.
- If any character riding the back of the kart is hit with a fireball attack, they will be burned on their backside and react accordingly.
