A unique Lupin TV movie
emasterslake27 August 2005
Dulune, a dying old-time thief with life support has given Lupin a a small diamond, called the Twilight Gemini that's a key to opening a legendary treasure in Morrocco. Dulune asks Lupin a favor in seeking out the treasure for him before he departs from this world.

After all the years Lupin's had with Dulune, he couldn't refuse a request from an old friend when it involves treasure. So he heads towards Morocco only to be tracked by a group of Assassins and a tribe that want the treasure for themselves. And will kill off anyone who gets in the way. With the help of Lupin's friends and a group of rebels, this won't be as boring of an adventure as it turns out to be.

I didn't get why some people hate this one so much at first. And I kept hearing it was the worst Lupin TV movie of all time. But I can tell it's because it focuses on Lupin a lot and very little screen time on his comrades than the previous ones. Besides that, I think it was very good. It had allot of funny parts, action, and had more nudity in any Lupin anime.

This is a fun and enjoyable movie to watch. You can't get anything wrong with Lupin the 3rd.

Those who like Lupin the 3rd can check this one out. If you're not sure whether you'd like or not, just rent it and see.

The Secret of Twilight Gemini is a nice Lupin special.

Lupin sets off for Morocco, looking for a legendary treasure. His only clue is an interesting jewel that an old man gave him. It's a nice different location for Lupin, with the desert and that hot exotic feel.

One interesting thing about this movie is that Jigen has a much smaller role than usual, generally being in a different place than Lupin. On one hand their classic dynamic together is missed, but it is a change of pace. Plus, this way, Lupin can focus on the ladies...

Fujiko rules in this. Throughout the entire feature she is seducing Lupin, and us viewers. Then there's Lara, the damsel of this particular tale, and she's quite likable. This one has more nudity than any other Lupin anime, which is a fun distinction to have.

There's a very entertaining effeminate ninja guy who's the best villain in this, and naturally he has some great fighting with Goemon, as well as some fun scenes with Fujiko. Inspector Zenigata of course is also on a warpath here, in fine form.

Pretty much, this is a smooth ride with Lupin. The plot is average and there are some slow spots, but all in all this movie is a real pleasure. Enjoy.

Lupin iii film 18

Out of Lupin films this is one of the ones that I would recommend. An adventure in Morocco where the environment is the one thing that strikes the most along with Lala beautiful eyes, as they focused on them where Lupin falls in love. There's quite a bit of fan service too.

As for the characters, Lupin friends always appear when in need, but most of the story in focused between Lupin and Lala.

Now for the characters limit: Out of Lupin films this is one of the ones that I would recommend. I really like it

I like this Japanese cartoon just because the story is so funny. The Inspector Zenigata is always chasing Lupin a Master Thief who plans to steal big ticket items for his girl Mine Fujiko. The problem is he always runs into trouble along the way and seems to be able to take on whole armies with his friends Jigen and Goemon. Maybe not for everyone but I really like it.

one of the best Lupine III movies
erminahotmail25 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Then this is a Lupine III film So this film is about a certain Doruune Doruune who has a short time to live makes a last wish which he will ask Lupine to look for another piece of diamond which will contain the cave of the famous treasure which is found in Morocco So what do I thinkof this film Well this is another Lupine III film that I liked and I even put this film in fourth place in my ranking and in this film there are some new crib things in this film Fujiko dyed her hair blond And he is dressed in the first appearance of her thatshe looks like that actress who really existed but a piece of Diamond is not they are not the only ones to take it there are also bad guys who want to take the treasure and I tell you that the bad guys are good enough for me for one of the bad guys is the one who was Ghemon who was finding herbecause he always repeats that he betrayed the club But the thing that I liked most about this film is the character of Lara and for me she was truly beautiful as a character and I can also tell you that this character together with Maria from another films that were the only twofemale characters from the Lupine films who gave a kiss to see warn you in another thing that this film is not suitable for people of if you are very young do not show it because in this film there are too many nude scenes But if you sit these who they are over 18 years old you canwatch it But if you are a fan of Lupine III, as always, I recommend you watch it too to conclude, rating 9.

Very, very dull
This really doesn't match up to Castle of Cagliostro. Lupin isn't as funny or wacky or as hyperactive. The scenery and music are uninspired and plot just isn't interesting.

The only good thing about this 'un is the nudity (only in the uncut version) provided by Fujiko. It helped spice up some of the tedious scenes. CoC had a formidable villain and set up the movie for some imaginative set-pieces. The locations in TSoTG are not very vivid or engaging.

Zenigata, Goemon and Jigen don't even provide decent sideshow entertainment this time. It's like they were just filling a contractual obligation by appearing.

The DVD is in full-frame with Dolby Stereo sound. It has a decent amount of extras, including quite a few trailers. But one curious thing. There is no chapter selection on the disc or timecode displayed on the player once inserted. Though you can still skip to the next scene number using the remote.

Low Budget Cliche Lupin
Fufururu13 January 2004
An old man gives Lupin a jewel called the "twilight", telling him it is the key to a nation's "hidden treasure". Lupin decides to go after the treasure, which happens to be all the way in Morocco. As with any Lupin film, do not compare it to the Castle of Cagliostro. Lupin films are like Bond films where you don't need to think too much to enjoy them. Cagliostro is in a league of its own, from great director Hayao Miyazaki.

The story is way to simple, set up just throw in what we've seen in every other Lupin film. A lot of the time characters turn up for no reason and rescue anyone just to about to be caught or killed or made otherwise uncomfortable.

Animation is basic. Nothing special. Could of been a lot better compared to previous Lupin films. Seeming this was made for television instead of cinema, I suppose the movie's budget must come into thought here.

The Lupin theme music plays, all the characters turn up, Jigen shoots fast, Goemon shoots stuff, Fujiko seduces people and basically every Lupin cliche occurs. In James Bond terms, this is like Lupin's "A View to a Kill". A few good scenes but you won't remember much the next day. The only reason for that is that there is nothing to differ it from the manysome other Lupin movies and shows available.
