Interesting short film with good acting on all levels, especially, the lead girl, Yvette McClendon.

I viewed this film at the Melbourne Film Festival's shorts. It was like watching a full length film all in a short film. The main girl, Jennifer (played by Yvette McClendon) was a nice mix of sweet vulnerable and beautiful as she spiraled down a wrong path all the while showing Flash backs of various traumatic events leading up to an apparent attempted suicide. The supporting cast was great, the creepy step father and drunken mother were quite interesting. The film looks as though it was going one way but didn't quite get there. If I were a director, I would have made it alittle more grittier. Needless to say, one of the best shorts I have seen in a while and Yvette McClendon showed a great range as an actress.

Powerful short film, should have been full length-great acting from many

Saw a night of shorts and this was one of them. Starts off with a gorgeous blonde girl in some cheap room and continues to show some series of memories that traumatize her. The girl, who I have seen before, is Yvette McClendom, is showing her superb ability as a young actress. I also notice a few recognizable faces; AJ Buckley, Holly Fields both were up to par in their roles. Hmmmm I can not decide whether the film was good or not . Something feels like it is missing. It follows Jen (Yvette) through some events and her birthday and then her getting in a car and being raped. Then waking up in a room and trying to OD , but to call a friend? Then the movie is over. I wanted to see more. However, it was quite good and the lead Yvette McClendon managed to make me feel sorry for her, even though beautiful.

Interesting concept from some up and comers!

Viewed this film on a compilation disc of shorts. This was the best one on the disc by far! It was very much a dramatic piece including many flashbacks of an abused child who continues this into her young adult life. The main girl was amazing to see since I saw her a couple years ago playing a sexy bimbo babe and to see her in this was incredible! I mean this gal showed so much range in this part I see why I have not seen her playing that old role. The name of the main girl is Yvette McClendon and she has incredible range as an actress. I wrote of a wonderful actress in White Oleander, Alison Lohman, who is incredible, But I'd like to see Yvette do roles like Alison . Yvette seems to be Such a fantastic beauty who has not been discovered.
