The Model Solution
Scarecrow-8830 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The Model Solution is one of those R-rated sex flicks where potentially heated love-making sessions are neutered in the editing room. What jerks my chain is that many of said films feature such beautiful women whose sex scenes would be welcome compared to what you see nowadays(..ugly women with lots of tattoos).

Sebastien Guy has the male lead always getting laid, as Jack, whose advertising agency has fallen on hard times, using his palatial pad as his office and place to shoot his models. Jack is competing with a former flame, Caroline(soft core fixture Regina Russell)to win the account of Rebecca Night(..the delicious Kim Yates)who purposely puts the two against each other so that she can bring down the price. Meanwhile, Jack allows his pal, Steve(Jason Schnuit)to hang about, a victim of a lover who ditched him for a budding career. What Steve doesn't realize, or is just too oblivious, is that Jack's sexy, scholarly secretary, Emma(..the yummy, positively fetching Holly Hollywood)wants him to light her fire. Emma puts up a front that she finds Steve to be a snob, but it's more than obvious her true feelings for him. Jack's major dilemma is that his oil baron father has issued a decision to cut off funding for his business, due to the agency's lack of success.

I think the movie's sole novel attribute is the lovely women which figure prominently in titillating the audience with their seductive charms, but we never see any of them nude fully frontal and their sex scenes with the guys are cut short or blown up, revealing no real action. That kind of defuses the point of watching such a film as this to begin with. I recognize the desire for including a story-line, but a film such as The Model Solution's main draw is the soft core bump-and-grind. Not to fault the director too much, Edward Holzman made some of the most erotic Skinamax flicks of the late 90's/early 2000's, but when your movie is castrated of it's main appeal, all is left is this flimsy plot about rival modeling agencies featuring porn stars not known to appeal to the audience regarding acting ability. The real star of The Model Solution is Holly Hollywood whose nice figure looks swell in tight secretary dress, and she has a nice shower, fantacizing about Steve's back stroke while swimming.

Model Solution

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of those thriller type films that I only wanted to see for the opportunity for good sex or nudity scenes. I remember that there is a good meaning for the title, nothing to do with modelling, but something to do with the two lovers having some reason to have a shag. I also remember that the main girl has the most gorgeous face, but also a gorgeous body and there are some pretty good scenes with her and the idiotic main man. But apart from that I can't really remember anything else, no actors, no scenes. I just remember that I did like this film and would like to see it again to see if it deserved to be on my list of favourites. Worth watching!

Flesh For Fantasy

We're in a familiar spot with 'The Model Solution'. On one hand, it provides an abundance of female nudity - the standard mix of breasts & simulated sex scenes - on the other hand you have to sit thru a pretty vanilla plotline about a modelling agency to get to these "good" parts and much of it isn't very interesting.

Jack's (Sebastien Guy) wealthy father bankrolled his company, but the problem is it's not doing as well as he promised when dad agreed to fund it. Under the threat of shutting it down, Jack must get a contract from a female client Rebecca (Kim Yates) playing hardball within a few days and complicating matters is his competition is another modeling agency run by his ex-gf Caroline (Regina Russell).

There's a subplot about his best friend male buddy and his woes with women & relationships for light filter. Jack's right hand assistant Emma (Holly Hollywood) is dependable & loyal but might offer something more too and naturally Jack himself gets frisky with a handful of ladies because ... why not? He's a character in a T&A flick after all.

'The Model Solution' is a fairly well shot piece of work featuring decent acting & some Playboy models amongst it's cast. The story isn't painful - after all it knows it's an excuse for naked women - but it isn't terribly exciting so what that means is see the unrated version if you're gonna bother checking it out.

Living in Los Angeles
Dr. Gore30 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*

A guy runs a modeling agency out of a huge white house in L.A. that I have seen featured in many, many skin flicks before. This massive house is infamous. I just saw "The Key to Sex" which used this house for numerous sex scenes. It's the ultimate skin flick set. Swimming pool, nice view from the deck, enough beds and couches around for everybody to have fun on, etc. I wonder whose house it is. It must be some producer's house. The skin flick business has been very good to whoever owns this monstrosity. What a great way to save money. Just keep cranking out scripts and film the whole thing at the Malibu pleasure fortress.

If you think about it, the skin flick business couldn't possibly exist anywhere else in the world. It has to be in Los Angeles so it can be near all of the beautiful women who are trying to be models, actresses etc. Every third house in Van Nuys or Chatsworth that has a swimming pool is probably filming some sort of sexual activity. The skin flick business makes more money than Hollywood and this massive, sprawling mansion in "Model Solution" is a glaring testament to that.

Anyway, forgetting about the house for a second, "Model Solution" is a fairly lame skin flick. It has a lot of familiar faces doing a lot of familiar things but it was all pretty ho hum. A guy is competing with an old girlfriend for a modeling contract. This leads to sex. In fact, any plot point that comes up leads to sex. It's amazing. No matter what happened, it always ended up leading to sex. I guess that's why I like these movies. You know what you're getting.

The problem is that no one seemed to be into it. Everyone seemed to be going through the motions as they spent a little quality time at the Malibu pad. You've got April Flowers, Sasha Rochelle, Regina Russell and a few others. No one really stands out although I did like Holly Hollywood as the homely, (not really), assistant. She only has one sex scene. It's not that good, a little slow and in the dark, but her presence has inspired me to find other, better Holly Hollywood movies. "Model Solution" can be skipped.

Good genre effort
Blue_Rose_Taskmaster7 August 2022
7/10 rating for the genre, would be lower as a general review but as a softcore drama is ticks many of the boxes, frequent and gratuitous nudity and sex featuring lots of very attractive people. Plot is paper thin but you don't really care about that. Unrated version recommended which has more graphic nudity.

For the genre, a great film.
MrBark12 March 2003
I said, "FOR THE GENRE, a great film." This is the type of film you'll only see on Skinemax late at night. For "softcore erotica" you see some bumping and grinding. It never crosses the line, but it comes as close as it possibly can. Very close. Oh, so very close.

Do people watch these films for the plot? Oh well, it involves a guy who owns a modeling agency. He gets into trouble and could lose his business and . . . oh, never mind. The main plot is so simple you can figure it out. However, they actually go for a subplot! I must say the subplot is romantic, involving the guy's best friend and the assistant. Yet, it too is quite predictable, but let's focus on the big picture: no one cares about the plot in movies like these. What do people care about?

There are eight scenes of interest. Six male-to-female scenes, one female-to-female scene, and one female-alone-in-the-shower scene. Two actors and eight actresses grace these scenes. That's a 1:4 ratio! This might "put the brakes on" for watching this kind of film with your lady, but I think the romantic subplot may be enough to compensate for this (in her eyes).

I said this was a great film. Why? It has a good-looking cast, and despite a predictable plot, it is entertaining enough for any mainstream Hollywood movie. I would compare this film to "Castle Erotica" aka "Castle Eros" within the genre. If you liked that film, you should like this one, and vice versa.

Goes directly to the point : lots of sex scenes.
insomniac_rod22 January 2006
Definitely a must see for fans of soft core sex. This movie goes directly to the point : it has eight hot sex scenes and attractive women are shown through all the movie in short clothes.

Regina Russell and Holly Hollywood make this movie. Both women are so hot and sexy (even when they talk). The sex scenes are steamy and very well done. I liked particularly the last sex scene where Holly tells the blonde guy that she's very shy and seduces him. I mean, how can she say she's shy while she's reading in sexy, slutty underwear? That's why I love these kind of movies! The soundtrack of the movie is pretty good actually. Excellent use of songs in the perfect moment.

Also, special thanks to Regina Russell for wearing short dresses through all the movie; she has spectacular legs.

Overall this is a must see for people who enjoy these movies (like me). Watch it if it airs on cable, or rent it; it's worth your money.

A light, sexy, very well done softcore video.
dbrown-0702042 October 2003
This is one of the Playboy softcore videos that get released by Image every other month or so. These movies are almost always a sure bet for softcore. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a lot of great looking women, and 8 to 10 good sex scenes.

However, Model Solution stands out even among all the other movies that Playboy/Image have released. This movie is perfect if you just want to sit back and watch some fun softcore. There's no life or death situation or infidelity drama. Just a light, trivial storyline to hold all the action together.

The sex scenes in this video are all very, very good, including an excellent scene with Playboy Playmate Katie Lohman.

soundtrack question
Ralphkranchick14 September 2009
I really enjoyed this movie and find a lot of great eye-candy. I found the soundtrack to be really awesome and I love all the music that is in the film. I checked a lot of search engines and even attempted to contact "Ask Playboy" but could not find a website to ask the question there. I think the acting was very good and the love scenes were awesome. But can anyone, at all, tell me who sand that beautiful song that was played during the poolside love scene? I have checked everywhere and nobody seems to know the answer. Was it a movie-only song? Is it available on .mp3 anywhere? Thank you very much for any help.
