A great show that deserves to be re-aired
tkrlg27 July 2017
This show wasn't perfect but it was good on so many levels.

If you want a short version of this review, just read the last paragraph, it sums it up.

Story:The story was fun to experience. I normally get bored of the general concept of aliens because I've heard so many stories and watched many shows/movies about aliens but they were the all same 'aliens are weird looking creatures that are highly advanced and want to take over the earth' junk, however, with Jeopardy, there is more drama, more mystery and without spoiling it, I'll just say that the story was intriguing to watch and it was not predictable unlike a lot of other shows.

Characters:They weren't generic high school characters. These days, shows with high school characters usually involve typical characters such as the popular b**chy girl, the popular that plays football, the shy girl, etc but with Jeopardy, they are characters that stood out. Each character is different to the other which makes it more fun to watch them even if their character was suppose to be frowned upon at times.

Dialogue:Everything the characters said really described who they were and how strong their friendship was with the other characters.

Although I remember there was the sort of cringey line, "I'll be your Jane", but that didn't bother me much.

I can honestly talk a lot more about this but to sum it up, this show was great, original in it's own way, characters were unique, story was intriguing and it entertained me so I highly recommend it. (Unfortunataly the series isn't airing these days and there was never a DVD release as far as I know but it's on youtube so check it out).

Must watch~!
lauralila7 February 2019
I used to watch this show when I was just a kid and now I am 22, watched the entire series in three days, and yet again and still love it. These series are such a great combination of suspense, human friendships and the extra terrestrial aspect is totally like no other typically seen on tv. It keeps you wanting to watch more. There is so much mystery, suspense, and unexpected scenes throughout the entire show. I greatly enjoyed watching the brilliant ending.

Charli Wilson is destined to become an international star. From "Lunar Girl" to "Jeopardy", next stop Hollywood.
wilson-18 January 2002
After the first episode, we're so looking forward to seeing each and every episode of Jeopardy. Charli Wilson who made an amazing screen debut in the magical "LUNAR GIRL", is a superb new actress who has a flair for pulling you into the character and taking you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and with the outstanding Paul Wroblewski directing and a fine cast of young new (mainly Scottish) actors in this unusual story, I think the BBC has a hit on it's hands.

Best show on TV?
dan_or_is_it_keyser_soze2 September 2004
Yes, it probably is. I have watched the program for episode one back from the first series. The program is fantastic, the acting is great and the stories are excellent.

A group of teenagers from Scotland are part of a UFO club, headed by their teacher Mr. Simmons. As a trip for the club they go to the Australian outback, a place known for numerous UFO sightings and encounters. Strange things happen where the group arrive, the radio stops working and gives out static and various other things. Is their something out there, watching their every move? The group all film everything on DV cameras, so think Blair Witch Project meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

The first series was fantastic, great twists, and I thought this make quite a few scary moments, I must admit. I was disappointed by the tacky end. The second series was terrible. It was too confusing, some good ideas, but too many, so it tried to deal with all the points, making it confusing. Now the third series is a magnificent return to form, adding an Agatha Christie-esque plot, of having the group disappear one-by-one-by-one. With an excellent ending to top it off.

I really hope they bring it out on DVD or something, I'd love to watch it all again!!!

SHOULD BE ON NETFLIX. BEST TV SHOW EVER
amirhali-4057231 May 2019
This honestly should be on Netflix, this was really way too good to ever be a kids show. The writers did so good, the whole concept was amazing! Made in 2002 and they were all vlogging with rechargeable solar batteries.

Season 1 just gets you hooked like nothing else, season 2 interests you to find out more about each person. Season 3 we were all dying for closure to the group and to see if they ever make it back to scotland in the UK.

The writers asked CBBC to vote. People voted for the spooky ending which ended on Harry and Lucy going back in time and showing the group the vlog tapes and convinced them not to go on he trip.

The happy ending which is basically the same episode but without the present Harry and Lucy coming inside the classroom and causing the future Harry and Lucy to split and disappear basically being dead.

Honestly should be remade or shown on TV again. Netflix has the opportunity for this show to make a hit. It was ahead of its Time. And everyone has rated this highly.

I wish this gets the recognition it really deserves. It won a BAFTA so it obviously awesome.

Best programme ever!
cow-facts28 May 2006
This is one of my favourite programmes ever! yes, its a kids programme, but its an exciting, engaging plot with some great acting in it which is worthy of a more than it was given.

For those who never saw it, it was about these school children from Scotland who went on a trip to Australia with the UFO club in search of aliens.

Although i missed the first series i got into it pretty quickly. I was drawn in by the cliffhangers *crhhhhhh* and just had to know what happened next!

As well as the sci-fi element it also draws influence from Blair witch project style filming. It also can stand in its own right as a brilliant drama as you watch the group deal with the ordeal.

It has it all time travel, alien diseases, cute actors, beautiful scenery, exciting plot....what more could you want?

You'll never see red eye on your photographs the same again!

One of the best shows out there.

Warning: Spoilers
Jeopardy is an amazing show and I was so sad when they played the last episode. I really hope that they make another series, but I have a horrible feeling that they won't. I missed all of series one and a good deal of series two, but once I started watching it, I was completely hooked. I just saw the last episode of the final series (series three?) for the second time and it still leaves me dying for more.

Jeopardy is thrilling, to say the least, and I definitely think it deserves a higher status than 'a kid's show'. I really hope they release it on DVD because I would love to get to see every season in its full.

Jeopardy on DVD
westonian200323 April 2007
Hey everyone. With regard to getting the BBC to put Jeopardy onto DVD, I emailed the BBC and they replied with this. They said that if there is enough public interest in a show, then there is a high chance that they will put it onto DVD. Just think - we don't need to wait for repeats to come onto the CBBC channel. I for one miss them due to work which is unfair. I've seen the whole series before when it was shown on BBC2 (i was hooked to it). I've already emailed the BBC asking to put the entire series onto DVD so the more people who email them or write to them, then the more chance they will put it onto DVD and make us all happy. Thanks Everyone ;-D

8 students and their teacher go to Australia to look for UFOs activity
djdonnelly199418 February 2017
Jeopardy is about a group of eight secondary-school students and their teacher Gerry from Falkirk academy, who travel to the Australian bush to look for UFO activity. They are given camcorders to record any sightings, and the series (much like the Blair Witch Project) makes extensive use jerky footage supposedly from the hand-held cameras.

Iconic... so why is it not on DVD?
robert_farrimond26 September 2010
This television program made my childhood. I'm being serious, the likes of Tracy Beaker and Basil Brush would never even come close to this brilliant t.v. program. The storyline, so complex and intriguing, each series keeping children interested and holding them in a tight grip of suspense. Not many television programs can say that.

I loved how each character had a trait you could identify with, Simon often making mistakes, Harry often wanting to take charge, etc...

The whole series' were incredible, right up to the ending, (whichever ending you saw, it was amazing).

It is a travesty and a giant let-down by the BBC that you cannot buy such an iconic piece of CHILDREN'S television. This is up there with the great CBBC programs, Ghost Hunter and The Queen's Nose. Which as to my knowledge have also not been released on DVD.

This program symbolises friendship and trust, it's suspenseful and intriguing. Whenever it's on t.v. or should I say IF ever it's on t.v., you must make sure you watch it. It's unclear whether it will be shown again.

Good for kids who greatly enjoy mystery
Fireberries21 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
What I saw: Every episode of season 1 - 3, alternate ending Happy and alternate ending Scary

---

I had watched this show religiously as a kid. I adored the mystery, the adventure, the time travel and the aliens. After the first airing of the final episode in 2004 (I voted for the "Scary Ending" alternative), I have been unable to view it again until now.

The series has not lived up to my memories, but I wasn't expecting it to. I personally believe that it suffers from three main faults;

1. Too much arguing. Far too much arguing. I get that there's a pressure on the characters, but it's hard to carry on with this amount of shouting per episode. The only reason why I powered on was because I was determined to finish the series a second time and get to the fondest-remembered parts

2. I feel the scripts of each episode wasn't written tightly enough. Far too often I felt as though I was watching nothing but filler. I get the feeling that the series could have wrapped itself up in 2 seasons

3. This isn't a slant on the actors because I thought they all did a good job, but two of the characters were intolerable in the first season. I'm glad they got that much-needed character development because I was close to packing it in. Although, after season 1, I feel that some of the other characters were not written as well as they were in the first season.

An additional fault that isn't big enough to say the series greatly suffered from, but not small enough to ignore is the romances throughout. At times I felt at though the characters should have been concentrating on other more important things, and it distracted from the main plot a bit too much.

Having said all that, by the time I got to season 3, I completely understood why I loved this show when I was younger. It does get very interesting with the red-eye virus and the mystery of where the characters go after they split.

---

All-in-all the series could have greatly benefited from a few more script re-writes. As it is, though, I'd say it's a very good watch for kids who enjoy mystery, but are not yet old enough to watch something like Lost.

Speaking of Lost, I think the ending to Jeopardy was far more satisfying than the ending to Lost. Especially the "Scary Ending".

jeopardy is brilliant, but will there be another series?
sally-9312 April 2005
hi i love Jeopardy and have been hooked ever since the first episode. The acting is great and it can sometimes be really spooky! i enjoy every minute of it and i am sure anyone who watches it will be too! i love the cliff hangers at the end of each episode, they leave you eager for the next one. i really hope there will be a series 4, (does anyone know if there will be by the way?!) i hope there will be a DVD of Jeopardy to. The second series of Jeopardy is currently being shown on the CBBC Channel and 6:30pm to anyone who wants to tune in!!! i think there should be a Jeopary website. Also there doesn't seem to be many pictures around of the show, i have looked and all i can find are two tiny ones on CBBC! if anyone manages to find any, let me know!!
