What a talent
martinkoolhovenfilms9 April 2007
Orlow Seunke is one of the directors in the Dutch tradition that Van Warmerdam and Stelling also belong to. This early work show just how big his talent was and what a shame it is he made so few movies. I also wonder why he hasn't done a lot more comedy. At some moments the Pim shorts remind of Keaton or Tati; it is charming, witty and very Dutch. I've seen an old copy in bad quality. It would be nice if a new digital transfer would be made. After the artistic and commercial failure of 'Oh Boy' Seunke had more difficulty's financing a movie and never tried comedy again. I hope he will soon. Preferbly with him in the lead again.
