Not Mamooty's best
winak1 July 2022
Typical 90s macho bs that film makers engaged in to appeal to the masses. Overly dramatic dialogue delivery, extended monologues interjected with english words and over the top acting, popularised by Suresh Gopi. Do you give the movie 5 star or 7 star will depend when you watch the movie. If it is more recent you might not be as impressed with this flick.

Intense dialogue delivery but poor editing

A movie that was a top grosser in its time, it's very hard to sit through when watched today.

This Malayalam film stands out for the intense dialogue delivery by the hero Mammootty and Murali who plays the antagonist.

Everything else in the plot is incredulous and one really waits for when it'll end. But the dialogues have a lot of profane language including against women. The film could easily have been edited down by an hour from its current 3 hour length.

Vani Vishwanath's talent has been misused into a cheap and short role. Suresh Gopi likewise too only has a cameo but is used in the posters. Murali's performance is the best but he's hardly visible in the posters. The pathetic climax also didn't give the character a fitting end. Devan is a wasted talent as again proved here.

Evergreen Mammootty delivers and carries this film with his intense performance.
